Can't arm using Pixhawk

Post by smesterj »

I build a quadcopter using a carbon fiber frame and Pixhawk I bought in 2014.
Using Mission Planner 1.3.37 and APM:Copter V3.3.3.
All calibrations successful, no Pre Arm failure message, Pixhawk led blinking green.
But not able to Arm at all.
The radio I am using is an FS-THX9 with the 9Xtreme upgrade, in radio and flight modes calibration everything looks fine.
I even try a Pixhawk clone with same results.
Disabling the arming check just to try, same results.
I do not know where to look for. Tried left yaw nothing.
I guess will have to buy another RT to verify is some transmitter setting.
Really need help.

Anyone out there using same configuration?

What does the Pixhawk need to see to get it to arm?
I don't have one, nor have I ever used one so I need that information to be able to help.

Thanks for your reply!!!

The Pixhawk need to see the left stick (Mode 2) on the right down position for 3 to 5 seconds.

Just after posting I took the propellers off and start playing with the RT, when moving the right stick to the right down position it arm.

No clue why is doing that, in radio calibration all the sticks move the way should be, Throttle on Rudder on the left, Pitch and yaw on the right stick.

Will calibrate again in case something I did not see.

I see the issue now, the left stick is moving Throttle and Roll, the right stick is moving Pitch and Yaw.

It should be Throttle and yaw on the left and Pitch and Roll on the right.

I solved this on the FS-TH9X choosing Acro, how I fix it here in ERSKY9X ?

Go to the mixer and on the channel that has "Ail" as source change it to "Rud". The channel that has "Rud" as source, change it to "Ail"..

João

EDIT: But before go to Radio Setup / controls, and make sure stick mode is not set to mode 4. If it is, change it to mode 2. If it was already on mode 2, then change the mixer as described above.

THANK YOU !!!!!!!

It was in mode 2, the change RUD with AIL works fine.

Is flying so good even with 20 mph winds today.

Only thing is the Pitch is inverse, when I start flying the wind bring it to me and when I push forward to move it away from me instead it come faster, I did not have to much time to react so to avoid get my head cut with the 12" carbon fiber propellers I push the throttle and went over me, after that I fly it inverse but I not get use to it, fly it only for 5 minutes.

How I can straight the direction?

Go to the limits menu and on the pitch channel change the "---" at the right to "INV".

or check your flight controller settings.. Normally, on multirotors, all programming is done on the flight controlled itself.
You should test that without propelleres. Elevator stick forward, rear motors should spin faster. When you pull the stick towards you, front motors should spin faster. to the left, right motors should spin faster, and so on...
Always check all this WITHOUT PROPELLERS.. They can cut you..
