ersky9x Test Firmware for the 9Xtreme

Post by MikeB »

This is NOT intended as a thread for discussions, just as somewhere I can put test versions of ersky9x for people to try out.
The idea is I'll put a specific test version on here, with a reason why it is here. Later, when I have something else to test I'll remove that one and replace it with another.
This should stop lots of test versions all over the forum, and help avoid the forum taking up more space on the server than it needs to.

Mike.

Note: 08-Jan-2016, ersky9x r218 is released, includes all updates for the 9Xtreme. Also eepskye r419 is released.

RELEASE VERSIONS are found here: http://www.er9x.com/.

These are only test versions specific to the 9Xtreme to help solve problems. Please use either release versions, or 'normal' ersky9x test versions from here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4676.

Am I correct that this firmware supercedes the firmware that resides on the board when it arrives.

Also to clarify...the "not turning off issue" is when you load into the bootloader mode and the system won't turn off afterwards (have to remove power to have it power cycle).

Correct?

Yes this does supercede the shipped firmware.
The "Not Shutting Bug" is the Tx goes off immediately you switch the power off, instead of displaying "SHUTTING DOWN" for a while. On switch on afterwards, the splash screen and alarm checks are then skipped.

If you have a problem in the bootloader not switching off, please post details in another thread. Note, the bootloader only switches off if you are on the main screen, without the USB cable plugged in. This is to prevent power off while actually writing the flash memory. Also, from the main screen of the bootloader, holding the EXIT button for a LONG press, exits the bootloader and starts the Tx normally.

My apologies… I just wanted to clarify .

You can go ahead and delete these posts so it's that it's just the firmware items. Thanks.
