Something weird on the display

Post by CpTChucky »

I recently installed the 9xtreme board on my turnigy 9x. Seems like everything is working except for one thing. In the attached video you can see that the values keep changing even when the sticks aren't being moved. I'm afraid to fly my quad with I doing this.

Such jitter of +/- 0.2% or so is perfectly normal.

I answered you on the other topic you created about the same issue. Please do not double post. :) as the information will be scattered. Don't worry, people will see it if you post it once.

The 9xtreme board seems to need the filter changed to "OSMP".

Where do I go to hang the filter to OSMP? Thanks.

It looks like someone deleted your duplicate post, and with it my answer. He should have deleted this one instead as it didn't have any fix for the problem. See why you shouldn't double post? Information can get lost

Now i have to write everything again. :(

Please turn your radio ON while holding the left horizontal trim to the left for about a second. This enables the hardware menu that is normally disabled to avoid people messing up their radio.
Then go to "Radio Setup / Hardware" and down to the "Filter ADC" option. Change it to "OSMP".
The 9xtreme board seems to need some filtering on the analog inputs. See if it improves the jitter. it should.

Sorry about the double post. I won't do that again.

I can't seem to get it to go to that menu. I told the left trim to the left and slide the switch to the on position. Then all it does is go to the splash screen and says "Welcome to Ersky9x" What am I doing wrong. If I hold it too long it just moves the trim indicator to the left.

Thanks for the help.

Plese read again what I said above ;)

After you do that you have to go to the "Radio Setup / hardware menu.

Glad it worked. May I suggest a couple links?

This is a good start:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6473

This manual is for er9x which is a more basic version of ersky9x that runs on the 9x radio stock board. But the basics are the same. The menu structure, the way the mixer works, etc. Of course ersky9x has a few more features like bluetooth, music, etc.

Here are some videos I have made trying to explain er9x/ersky9x a little bit. Sorry about my English.

Here is part of a video manual I am doing for ersky9x. Still not finished, need to find time to do the Model Setup part of it.

I hope all this helps you to understand ersky9x :)

Thanks for all the links. I have looked at a lot of the videos that you have. They have been helpful. Any idea when your model setup videos will be done?
