What receiver are you using?
If it is a 'X' receiver, please try turning the Rx on holding the FS button down, then select the BIND option on the radio. The red LED on the Rx should then start flashing indicating the bind is complete. Press EXIT on the radio and power the Rx off and on. What do the LEDs on the Rx do now?

OK so I am supposed to turn on receiver first holding the f/s then press bind on radio? I am using X6R RX's.

I was pressing bind first and then turning of RX with f/s held down.

One question as well

Am i correct that if i have 2 models turned on that the one that is selected in my radio will be the one that the transmitter links to correct?

You should only have ONE receiver trying to bind at a time. By selecting a different RxNum value for each model/receiver, then, after binding that sets this value in the receiver, only that one receiver will then respond to the Tx.

By powering the Rx first, you will see clearly if the red LED starts flashing after binding. The red LED flashes slower in normal operation if it is not receiving a signal. You may not recognise these different rates of flashing until you have seen them both.

Hey Mike that worked great doing it in that order. I got my replacement from HK tonight as well. So I hooked old one up and saved settings then burned them onto the replacement. Gone are the days of flying a model with the wrong model selected in the radio!! so freaking COOL!

The only other thing I got going on is to get telemetry to display I have to go into model setup--->telemetry->page 3 and change invert com 1 from off to on back to off. Then telemetry works just fine. any ideas?

Check what is happening with your real time clock.
Is it running?
Have you set the date/time?
Does it then keep the time when you switch the radio off?

The control signal for the telemetry inverter is controlled by the RTC chip. If it isn't running, the inverter control doesn't work.

Where do you find bind in R219?

For the XJT, it is in the Protocol menu. You need to set the protocol to "XJT" (renamed from "PXX") before the Bind option appears.
