there is a bug on r221 displaying "Alt" with the D8 protocol. It was fixed in the latest test version from yesterday. Please find it here..

You want the file "ersky9xProvR222b3.zip"

For the 9XR-PRO you want the "ersky9xr_rom.bin" file

Hello from Canada,
Hope I can get a answer.

9xr Pro, fw R222c9, DHT telemetry hard wired, getting telemetry for Rx Tx and Rx voltage.
No smart port info (no frsky GPS V2).
Will this combo see the smart port and GPS. If so can you think of a setting I may have missed.
Thank you for your time .

Nope, the the older DHT doesn't support S.PORT. Fot that you need the XJT module..

Well I guess one should not believe what HK says.
On that note I would like a answer to one more question, is there any sensors I can plug into X6R telemetry port AD-1 that will show speed and or alt with the DHT module?

I just ran a few tests using a DJT module and a X6R bound in D8 mode. I connected a Vario and a GPS sensor to the SPort of the X6R.
The received telemetry on the DJT did include the Vario, although only the whole number of metres, not the decimal part, but the GPS was not present, even though the GPS sensor indicated it had a lock on the LED.
I now have a fix to ersky9x pending that will handle the missing decimal part and display the altitude. Without the decimal part, the whole number part was being ignored.

Do you have any "D" receivers, with telemetry hub? There is a mod (add a wire connection) you may do to the SPort GPS sensor to be able to use it with the hub.

Thank you for your help.
I have a # of frsky rx's all V8FR - II, so cannot test a telemetry hub.
I'm getting Rx, Tx, receiver voltage, plus the voice warnings that go with these.
For the time being I can live with this.

Gentlemen I have a Pro running ersky 9xr that is driving me crazy! I Emailed Frsky and yes to get S port I need a XJT.
You also confirmed this so I got a XJT. My DHT and X6R gave me RX, TX, and RX voltage telemetry. XJT and X6 protocol setting D16 (X) binds fine with X6R and a number of my V8FR-II HV. Good range with all. But not telemetry at all. Tel Rx count 1st row counting up 2nd row 0101. With the DHT 2nd row 0000. No RX, TX, or voltage. Now the head scratcher if I leave the Rx on, turn off external and turn on internal PPM, I get RX, TX telemetry!! But of course no servo movement.
Tried R222b3 and R222c9, no luck. Any thoughts.
Thank you

Please check in the telemetry menu that you don't have "Invert COM1" enabled, and also that the "Telem COM port" is set to 1.

Hi adp75,
You may want to think about getting an external XJT module transmitter and use telemetry X-series sensors.
Setting the protocol to XJT gives you PXX protocol that works with with the S.Port telemetry.
The external XJT module transmitter also can be used as DJT (same as DHT internal module) module transmitter.
You can set the protocol to PPM for the D-Series receivers also (there are two dip switches on the XJT module to be consider too).

Thank you for your thoughts.
Mike, no I don't have Com inverted but its external so I have to use com 2.
Bob , I do have the external module but on the 9xr Pro with rssky firmware no option for PXX.
as soon as protocol XJT is selected radio voice says " no telemetry ".
I do believe it is a firmware issue.

If you have a XJT module in the module bay, then telemetry is connected, via the bottom pin of the module bay connector, directly to COM1. This is a full, FrSky, SPort connection, and works bi-directionally so is able to send SPort data out, e.g. for configuring a FrSky SxR receiver.

So you want XJT protocol and COM1 for telemetry.

THANK YOU, so much Mike.
There is light at the end of the tunnel ! Because my DHT is hard wired into the Pro, there was no room to fit the module into the bay. Was not going to remove the DHT till I get something else working. I have a 5 pin connector that fits the XJT but only connected PPM , + and -. Rxd and Txd wired direct to the pc board with a modified servo cable.
Note Rxd and Txd to Txd and Rxd on pc board. I did not know pin 5 carried info bi-directionally.
Again thank you, I'm sure you have sent me in the right direction an the hair pulling will stop.
So wow, have a telemetry radio with Aurora 9X gimbles that I'll put up against any radio.

Guy's
Ta - Da works like it should!! Can't tell you the # of Hrs I spent working on this.
Now the problem, Canada -24C with a wind chill of -31C so flying is out of the question. So I'm running around the house and can only get up to 5 mph, mind you I have to slow down for the corners.
I quess that proves that my 60 plus years are catching up with me.
Thanks to all, have a good one .

Hi all,

after many years without my 9xrpro with frsky djt 2.4ghz module
I started again working with it.....
Just the question which firmware I should flash onto my 9xrpro.
At the moment I am handling the version V.3489-mike /ersky9x-r218
(31.12.2015 :o )
I would like to transfer datas via bluetooth, (hc05), no idea how to manage of hardwiring of the Key Pin for AT operation.
I guess, thats the reason why my "trainer over bluetooth" doesn't work.( No" master", bluetooth role "unknown" , no scanning possible, no configuration possible...)
My second idea I would like to handle is sending the telemetry datas to some frsky logger onto my tablett.
May I understand it correct that all the telemetry datas are at the com2 port, for use?
Special firmware needed for that idea?
.......and its a pitty
but I cannot make a backup of my former modell datas anymore
I get the error Tx Disk not mounted.... :?
Many, many thanks for any help.
Cheers

Hi all,
in the meantime I could handle my questions by my own
You need to connect the "en" (hc05) to the "erase" pin( 9xr) o, indeed!
I am going to handle my telemetry data directly from my frsky transmitter modul via bluetooth hc05.

My last problem I have is, no wav data music sound.

It doesn't speak at all, or is it just the music that doesn't work?

Folders /albums) and music files must be only 14 characters long, excluding file extension, I think.
Also only a max of 16 files per folder.
The album folders must be inside another folder called "music".

The files must be 16Khz / 16bit Mono.

Many thx for your ideas.
I could solve my problems by converting with audacity software.
I opened my songs (mp3/44khz/32bit) stereo, converted the track
to mp3 mono /16bit/44khz. After that there is a button in audacity called
Convert to wav....and here we go. All good now.
Sampling rate is maybe still 44khz?!.. ...no idea!
