FrSky R9 900MHz 16CH Long Range Receiver & R9M Module System

Cheap 900MHz Long Range Receiver & transmiter Module.
I think it could be a good substitute for TBS Crossfire.

I want to use it with my 9XR PRO transmitter.
Is there any plan to support these Receiver & Module on 9XR PRO transmitter??
I'm waiting new firmware which can support it.

The manual says it responds to either CPPM or PXX, so as long as the firmware you are runniong on the 'PRO supports PXX, it should just plug in and work.

The firmware originally shipped on the 'PRO (ersky9x r204) didn't support PXX as HK had not agreed with FrSky it could.
I understand the 'PRO now ships with later firmware that does support PXX. The most recent release (r220) and later "test" versions of ersky9x also support PXX, although I renamed it to XJT, as that was the only module the supported PXX.
It looks like I may need to rename it back to PXX.

Have you tried the module in the 'PRO yet?

Mike.
I would prefer to change the name XJT back to PXX, as this supports to what the protocol is and how we know it to be, PXX protocol.
I understand why the thinking was to rename the PXX protocol to XJT, as it was the hope to help new persons to select
the proper PXX protocol when using the XJT modules.
Now that we have modules with multi-protocols, it maybe better change the name back to PXX protocol.

The Multiprotocol module has nothing to do with the XJT module.. It is a completely different thing, and it can't be compared :)
As Mike explained, as the XJT module was the only one until now that used the PXX protocol, it made all sense to change the name from "PXX" to "XJT". But now, if there is another module with a different name (obviously :) ) that uses the same "X" protocol, then it makes sense to change the name back to what it was..

If there was space for more Characters, my suggestion would be to use the same name as in the Multi menu, "Frsky X"
Can't be clearer ;) :D

It would be smart for FrSky to make a Multiprotocol-XJT module.
