I changed the source to vspd
switch to gear
sensitivity to 6
sink tones checked
Leave sensitivity at 0. With 6 I think you are decreasing it.
Wil it emit a beeping sound while sinking and if i uncheck sink tones will it emit a sound while climbing......
With sink tones checked, it will beep when climbing and sinking. With sink tones unchecked it will beep only when climbing.
I dont understand what you mean by current source....
The "Current" measures for example how many Amperes your motor is taking..
You need to define the source, that means, where you are getting that information from. If you have an S.port sensor you need to select "FasV" as source. Some sensors output the current value using a voltage. In this case you select the analog input "A2"..

Please download the Er9x manual from

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6473

Er9x is a basic version of ersky9x that runs in less capable radios.. But they are basically the same, only Ersky9x has more features. Have a look.

I find simply reporting the altitude every 10 seconds works well, rather than at specific increments.

Using recent test versions you could write a script to report the altitude.
You could also use a scaler to detect multiples of 20m. Scalers (again in recent test versions) include a "mod" function (the remainder after dividing by the "mod" value).
So if you use the "Alt" as source to a Scaler, and have the "mod" value as 20, then the Scaler will have a value of 0 when the height is a multiple of 20m.
You could then set a logical switch to check for the Scaler being equal to 0, and use that logical switch to trigger a voice alert of the actual altitude when the logiacl switch becomes ON.

I have just tested this using the throttle stick as source. It works.. I can't see why it shouldn't work with the Altitude.
One problem I see is that if the aircraft climbs very fast with motor, the radio might report all the altitudes on the way up?? Annoying? ;)
Ok, we can always use a logical switch to stop the altitude reports during powered climbing..
We could also configure a logical switch to stop the altitude reporting if the vertical speed is over a certain value :)
Many possibilities. :)

Do i have to chance something in the other setting screens to make it work.... Here beneath i hope that you can find some value information on my system as it is configured at this moment...

Never mind those alarms. I think they were even removed on later versions of the firmware, as well as many of the voltage alarms in the telemetry menu.. They were there since the beginning when the modules themselves beeped and the radios didn't speak. Not needed.

Go to a custom telemetry screen and set one of the fields to "vspd". then see if the numbers change when you move the model up and down.

Hello Joao

Thank you for your answer.

The firmware r220 i am using is the latest official by Mike on the website...i don't understand. There is only one test version that is higher. Do i have to install this test version....

I the radio setup / audiohaptic i changed the value to short normal long or long...this only has effect on when you push a button...then it beeps. But the beeping i need has to come from the vario and there nothing happens...

You say : Go to a custom telemetry screen and set one of the fields to "vspd". then see if the numbers change when you move the model up and down
As you can see in my previous message the source is already set to Vspd and yes it already worked...when moving the plane up and down i can see the numbers change but i don't have any beeping sounds saying me it is climbing or descending...and that is what i am looking for. I already managed to set an alarm on the altitude when he is higher then 100 m ...that's interesting but knowing if he is climbing or descending is more interesting of course...

What numbers you see increasing or decreasing when you move the plane? The altitude values, or the vertical speed values.

Ok, do something please.. Use eepskye to save your radio's eeprom to the computer. Then zip it and attach it to your post here so we can have a look.
When I get to my computer, I will also try to program a little test on my radio to check if the vario tones are working.

Hello Joao

I found it.
Vspd was not in my telemetry screens (alt was). I set it in, then set beep to normal then i had the beeping sound when climbing and descending.
Thank you so much for your help...little by little i am beginning to understand the software...
Thank you for your patience....
