What inputs is the DRL simulator looking for?

If you plug a trainer cable into te jack socket of the 9XR-PRO, it should power on without needing the power switch on. I think it will then be in "slave" mode for use as a student Tx or with a simulator.

To get the radio working in a flight simulator you will need the USB translator / connector as well.

Go to Ebay and search "flight simulator cable". The whole set up sells for $5.
