Safer switch arming via Logic Switches on 9XR Pro

Post by yanervous »

I just wanted to share a quick victory that I had today trying to emulate this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bv3VJ1jznw8

method of safer switch arming that I found for the Taranis but doing it on the 9XR Pro

This is a list of my Logic Switch screen.
I cant figure out how to get the photo direct into the thread, sorry.

L1 v<val Thr -98
L2 NtmeOff 1 ON 1 TRN
L3 AND THR L2
L4 AND L1 L3
L5 Latch L4 !THR

Then all you do is add the L5 switch to your mixer on your arming channel. If you bump both switches at the same time nothing happens to prevent accidents. You have to hold the TRN switch for 1 second to get an arm. Makes everything safe from accidental bumps and still get the advantages of the switch arm.

Today was my first day playing with logic switches but I'll try and answer any questions if you have them.
Thanks

Thank you for the hint, really valuable; I've almost hurted my son once due to an accidental flip of the arm switch. I was restless ever since. This tip is top!
I've copied your recipe and shared with my local fellows.

Kudos,
Pedro

Just for information, on ersky9x, if you set a safety switch, you may set it to type 'X', in which case it is a "sticky" safety switch already.
This may well make the logical switch setup easier as you don't need test the throttle stick, the "sticky" safety switch already handles that.

Nice, Mike, will take a look.
I'm novice to ersky9x, and "sticky switches" were on my radar.
Great work on the firmware. Thank you!

BTW (off-topic warning) I'm running r220. I dont see the PXX protocol, and I'm using an external XJT. I am good with my setup, just wanted to understand if "PXX" was dropped as I compared menus with a friend running r218.

No, it wasn't dropped, it was improved. :)
PXX is called XJT now. :)
