I have a problem on 9XR pro radio with the Aileron trim wich is oposit to Aileron stick. Other trims are OK.
Any ideas what could be wrong.

More information please, what firmware? Did you replace the original gimbals?
If you are using Ersky9x as firmware, please enable the hardware menu by holding the left horizontal trim to the left for about a second while turning the radio on. Then go to Radio Setup/ Hardware.
Scroll down until you find some graphics representing the 4 sticks. See if any is highlighted. If that is the case, select the sticks line and keep pressing the left key until none is reversed..

I have a similar problem with my 9XR Pro, I have not used this radio for some considerable time and never noticed this before. I flashed the latest test release before I went to use it. I activated the Hardware menu and none of the sticks are highlighted. This radio is Mode 1 and it is the Rudder channel, the trim moves in the opposite direction to the stick. I have not replaced the sticks, they are still the original ones.

I remember reading something about this issue a while ago but I have not been able to find where it was. :?

I am not sure if this has any bearing on this issue, but the RTC is no longer working. I have replaced the battery but it is still not working.

Any help appreciated.

Joao thank you for quick and helpful answer.
In hardware menu, Ruder and Aileron sticks were reversed. I fallowed your advice and now is OK.
Otherwise I used Ersky9x r218, now I upgraded to r221.

All the best,
Boko

I think we have seen a couple radios being shipped with one or more gimbal connections reversed.. Probably Monday radios.
But to check if it is an hardware issue please go to the "Radio Setup / DiagANA" menu and post the values of the first 4 lines. Each line represents a stick.

LH - Left Horizontal ( Post the values for Full Right and Full Left)
LV - Left Vertical ( Post the values for stick Full Backwards and Full Forward)
RV - Right vertical ( Post the values for stick Full Backwards and Full Forward)
RH - Right Horizontal.( Post the values for Full Right and Full Left)

with those values we should be able to see if the factory made some mistakes installing the gimbals..
I am not sure if this has any bearing on this issue, but the RTC is no longer working. I have replaced the battery but it is still not working.
Are you sure the new RTC battery is inserted the right way? Also did you measure it? it should be around 3V.

If all this is correct, please go to the "Radio setup/Date-Time" menu and try setting the date and time. see if it starts working, and if so, if it keeps the date and time after rebooting the radio..

I think it is the right way, the positive face is to the left

It does not keep time after rebooting the radio

It looks like your Right Vertical stick is reversed in hardware.. the others seem to be OK..
the rudder is left horizontal, right? so O68B is stick to the right, and 0163 is stick to the left? if so, this sem to be the expected values. You might need to calibrate your sticks though..
The Right vertical stick, as I said, doesn't look right..

Also, measure the voltage of the RTC battery..

The Right Vertical is not reversed, I just wrote the values down in the wrong order  I have now calibrated the sticks and the values did not change much. I have been looking at the circuit diagram for the 9XR-PRO and I wondered if I swapped pins 5 and 6 on the 10 pin connector would that fix the trim problem. As for the RTC battery it is reading about 3.3 volts measured at the connector.

Well writing them on the wrong order doesn't help, because that is what tells us if the sticks are badly wired or not.
So all that test you did was useless :(

You can try the following, go to the "Radio Setup/Hardware" menu, scroll down to the stick reversing option and select it. Keep pressing the right key until the stick(s) that is giving problems is/are reversed. See if all sticks now move in the same direction of their trims.

But before you do that, another possibility is that the trims are not wired correctly. And again, to determine if they are or not, we need some good exact readings of the DiagAna display as I requested before.
So let's do it again but this time on the vertical sticks, first the stick backward value and then the stick forward value.
Horizontal sticks, first the LEFT value and then the RIGHT value..
Please do not mix them this time..

You may check the trim wiring by going to the "DiagSwtch" menu. Trims that are pressed show up at the bottom right of the display.
The left column should change from 0 to 1 when a trim is either left or down.

The only values that I wrote down incorrectly was for the RV all the rest were as I stated. I have already done that and trim still goes in the opposite direction to the stick.

Mike

On the LH trim if I press right I get a 1 in the left column and with a left press I get a 1 in the right column.

The LH trim switches connect to the main board on J4, connections 5 and 6. Try swapping these over. You should be able pull the crimps out of the housing to do that.

Thanks Mike I will do that tomorrow, it's getting late and of course my low battery alarm on the TX decided to go off, so I will put it on charge in the morning and then swap these two wires.

Hey easy there, they are not the only ones to have Monday problems, I can have them on any day of the week.

Swapping the two wires fixed the problem, :D now for the RTC. :(

Thanks to both yourself and Mike for all you do for us.

Good that is working :)
For the RTC I guess you need Mike's opinion on this, as he knows much more about the radio than I do. If you say that the RTC battery Is correctly installed and the voltage is 3.3V, then it should be working :o

I would check again the battery polarity and that the connection to the battery holder is good.

The thing is, you need the RTC working because it also controls the telemetry COM1 inversion..

Can you confirm for me the correct installation for the RTC battery. Looking at the circuit board does the +ve face of the battery face left or right. :? It is a bit hard to work out looking at the circuit diagram.

Just as I thought the +ve face is to the left which is the way mine is facing. I have replaced the battery with a new one and it makes no difference. João rather than clutter up this thread, I will open a new one in the 9VR-Pro thread with this problem.

Thanks for all your help.
