binding problems

Post by jeffstu »

I have a 9XRPro and have used it for some time using Corona tx module and CR8 receivers and no troubles,so I decided to change to DSM2protcol and purchased a Orangerx DSMX/DSM2 TELEMENTRY MODULE for the 9xrpro and this module uses the internal aerial system, also I purchased the standard orangerx dsm2/dsmx module.
I removed the corona module and pluged in the orange telementry module, and nothing happens no light on module and will not bind with dsm2 rx,so decided to try the other standard module I purchased and nothings happens ,same as other module.replaced the corona module and all working with corona rx,so went back to the new modules but will not bind, and no intention of binding.
is there some settings that need to be made on tx?
many thanks for help if you can.
Jeff

With the module that uses the internal antenna, try setting the protocol to "DSM2" and the "DSM Type" to "9XR-DSM".
Then to bind, just select the BIND menu option and press MENU LONG.

Lots of manuals for the 9XR-PRO here: http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic ... 575#p79483.

Do you have eepskye installed on your computer?

The update procedure is quite straightforward, and you may test you are doing everything correctly by reading the firmware first.

Any jack to jack 3.5mm mono or stereo audio cable will work..

Not worth making a cable. An audio cable can be purchased for $5 or so at an electronics store. A mono cable is preferable, as some transmitters don't work properly with stereo.
