Hi. I have this 4-IN-1 Multi-protocol STM32 TX Module.
When connecting my receiver (flysky x6b and turnigy ia6) to my 9xr pro with the module, on signal loss, the receiver keeps going on last command so it never goes into failsafe. When I bind the same receiver to my turnigy evolution, it works just fine, and goes into failsafe on loss of signal. No matter what settings I use under "failsafe"-menu, still keeps going when I switch off the transmitter... I can't dare to fly with it before I get this sorted out.

The module was purchased second hand so I don't know what firmware is on it. I think I have a USB-TTL adapter (FDTI) laying around here somewhere if it is something with the module that needs updating.

Im running latest ersky9xr on the radio, actually one of the test-versions (08-Apr-2018 19:49)

What protocol do you have selected (AFHDS2A?)?

AFHDS2A with PWM_IBus

Do you have telemetry operating. Firmware on the Multiprotocol module will report its revision, even if you don't have any actual telemetry.
Depending on the firmware in the module, you may be able to update the firmware directly from the radio.

Well I get RX voltage when connected and I see a RSSI value on range check? Not sure where I would find the module revision.
But do you think a update of the firmware is a good idea?

The module revision is on the protocol menu, beside the "BIND" option.
Failsafe support in the multiprotocol module is a fairly recent update (Dec 2017).

my bad, no I dont get any telemetry at all. I thought it said 5.1v, but that doesnt change when I unplug the receiver.

From the main display, go UP LONG, then LEFT a few times to the DEBUG display. Is the number to the right of "TelRxCount" changing?

Yes, the number right next to TelRxCount is changing when connected, it keeps running upwards.
There are two numbers next to TelRxCount, first one is changing, second one displays "0703"

Try inverting the telemetry signal. Go to the Telemetry menu and find "Com Port Invert". If the value is NONE, change to it to 1, and if it is 1 change it to NONE. Then see if you get the firmware version on the protocol menu.

I tried inverting the telemetry signal. No change regards to firmware version.

Decided to try and flash using a usb-ttl serial adapter following the guidelines here: https://github.com/pascallanger/DIY-Mul ... -TX-Module
Seemed to work fine, no errors but afterwards the green led on the module is now always turned off...

The red led briefly flashes when I turn on the transmitter, but the module appears to be dead.

Did you install the "Multi 4-in-1 STM32 Board" from the Boards manager?
Did you select the correct board, programmer and upload method from the tools menu.

I believe I did all those steps correctly yes. I am on the edge of giving up, haven’t had much luck with my stuff lately

One of them from BG is quirky.
