I've been looking for the "beginning" of the topic for this connection. Can you assist. Need start to finish. Thanks.

First off, what voltage sensor do you have?

Re: How to connect FRSKY voltage sensor to X8R RX and Turnigy 9XR Pro
Thank you for the information. I have successfully connected the voltage sensor. I don't see any indication of a successful connection transmitted? Do I need to input parameters first, like total batt capacity, first warning capacity, alarms, etc?

Yes, go to your 9XR-Pro radio / Model Setup / Telemetry, menu and make your telemetry settings.
When done return to your Main (stick) Screen and arrow up to your Telemetry screen
and then you can also arrow to the right to view more Telemetry display screens with there data.

Re: How to connect FRSKY voltage sensor to X8R RX and Turnigy 9XR Pro
If using Sport, then set the Use Proto to FrSky, not FrHub.
If using a FLVSS, then the voltages are Ctot for the total battery voltage and Cel1 to Cel6 for the individual cell voltages with Cvlt as the lowest cell.
To see the values, configure a custom telemetry display to show, at least, Ctot and Cvlt.
I suggest you set some "Voice Alerts" to get warnings.

Re: How to connect FRSKY voltage sensor to X8R RX and Turnigy 9XR Pro
I'm not understanding the following and I included photos of current settings:
1. it appears there is no transmission of data to the transmitter
2. How do I dedicate voltage settings to Cvlt and Ctot? It looks like I can only name them "A1" and "A2".
3.In the custom display, I don't see where I can add "Cel1 to Cel6". How do I set those up?
Thanks for your patients

Re: How to connect FRSKY voltage sensor to X8R RX and Turnigy 9XR Pro
I think you may be using the wrong Protocol setting.
Go to "Model Setup" / "Protocol" menu and check what you have for the external Protocol setting.
Should be set to " XJT " protocol to give you the PXX protocol and use D16.
You should see RSSI and SWR Data readings not TSSI.
Do not use FrHub setting as it is for the older D-Series DJT (TX) to the D8R (RX), PPM Protocol.

Re: How to connect FRSKY voltage sensor to X8R RX and Turnigy 9XR Pro
Some success thank you!
-made the adjustment you recommended
-Window showing CVLT and CTOT looking good
-Not sure of the relevance of the window showing A1 and A2 and the numbers for RX and TX?
-Then, the other screen with A1 and A2, with RX and TX laid out differently. (another version of the previous screen?)
-I'm good with the screen showing all cells and other possible telemetry.
Photos attached in B&W for better view
Thanks

Re: How to connect FRSKY voltage sensor to X8R RX and Turnigy 9XR Pro
I think you may have an older version of erSky9x firmware on your 9XR-Pro radio.
Go to Radio Setup / Version to see what version you have.
Using eepSkye on your PC you can flash the newest "ersky9x for 9XR-PRO" firmware to your 9XR-Pro radio.
You will find them here: (http://www.er9x.com/).
This may help: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNJPUZc ... hb9&t=305s),
and (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zwy6JHy ... b9&index=8),
and (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX30WhY ... b9&index=9).
Your TX reading of "17" is in reality the SWR data, which 0 is the best and 50 is the worse.
If you upgrade your radio firmware the TX label will change to SWR label.

I do not use the Mac's, so I am not sure.

When you connect your radio to the computer, do the 2 drives appear on your computer's screen? One is your radio's SDCard, the other is a copy of the radio's eeprom and firmware and you should leave it alone..

You may need to wait several minutes after connecting the USB before the two drive will show up.

Re: How to connect FRSKY voltage sensor to X8R RX and Turnigy 9XR Pro
Have you or could you recheck all the Radio and Model Settings.
Protocol setting should be External "ON" / "XJT" (for PXX) and "D16".
You should see RSSI (RX) readings on the right and SWR readings on the Left side.
They may have changed or not been saved on the radio after flashing.

Re: How to connect FRSKY voltage sensor to X8R RX and Turnigy 9XR Pro
João, I do not know what the newest ersky9xr firmware is for the 9XR-Pro radio.
Stephanb photo shows the firmware date of: 04.12.2016 (I think is Dec. 4, 2016) and so may not be the newest ersky9xr firmware ?
I do not have the 9XR-Pro radio so to be able to check this for my self.
Also should the Blue Tooth (BT) Telemetry be unchecked ?

Re: How to connect FRSKY voltage sensor to X8R RX and Turnigy 9XR Pro
Hi Stephanb,
I think it is the correct newest firmware, at first I though it was dated April 12, 2016,
but then I remembered the date order is EU, so it is Dec. 4, 2016.
So that's 4 months old instead of 12 months old.
Have you tried un-checking the Blue-Tooth (BT) Telemetry ?
Also do you have bind to the X8R receiver ?

Try re-bind to your X8R receiver using the button (hold down when powering on) on your X8R receiver.
Not sure where you are located, are you in the US ?
Mike and João are in the EU, so may be sleeping now, may need there help tomorrow.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE..!!!
I believe he has the latest release, r220
I don't think the BT telemetry setting will make any difference, even if he doesn't have a Bluetooth device installed. It could be turned off though..
He is using the XJT, right? I haven't been following as I am busy with other stuff.
But he could try to check the option "Invert COM 1", and see if it changes something..

"Invert Com 1" checked made no change. I've tried other possible selections, checked and unchecked as well.
