XJT Mode - switch on module case or in model settings

Post by morel »

When setting model, we can bind receiver and transmitter from model setup panel. There are also other transmitter settings - for example mode.
And here is a question: when I want to bind particular type receiver (let it be D8 mode as example and FrSky XJT module), should I set mode on transmitter case by setting switch 1 on and switch 2 off, or just in this menu I should chose D8 mode and that will be enough? Or maybe I should set D8 mode both using switches on case and in openTx menu?
What will happen if I set different values via switches and this menu? Which settings is more important? Any of them, or it won't work with different modes set?

No need to use the switches on the back of the module, always just use the menu. The switches are only there for the case where the module is used in a Tx that only outputs PPM and so cannot have a menu for the settings.
