Re: QX7 no switches after update to 2.2.4
How are you determining that SF and SH do not work? I've loaded Doc2.otx into Companion 2.2.4 and tested it. The channel monitor shows SF and SH working correctly. This means the transmitter should be capable of sending sending the data If the flight controller isn't responding, I'ld say it is fligh...

Re: QX7 no switches after update to 2.2.4
in the first model you use 'arm' and 'Arm' in Inputs. and in mixes you use I5:arm. To most software (not google) Arm and arm are two different things. The Ix: tells MIXES to use the INPUTS definition(s) from slot x. If in hardware settings it is arm, try changing the Arm in MIXES to arm and swF shou...

Re: QX7 no switches after update to 2.2.4
You do not have to put the switches in INPUTS. It doesn't hurt, but it does no good either. To use the INPUTS for switches in a mix you we need to use I7 in the mix as source, not SC for channel7. Here is how an Input and Mix would look if you used Inputs to define your SWF in INPUTS and used in in ...

Re: QX7 no switches after update to 2.2.4
MixerScreen.PNG What Kilrah said is apparently your problem. There must be a mixer for a channel to have an output. Ch5 example is probably the least efficient way of doing things. All it does is reverse the +100 and -100 outputs. This could be done with a curve much easier and would allow easy adj...

Re: Have OpenTX Announce the (Real-)Time
I think it would have to be done with a lua script. MiamiMike had a script to announce the time of day on his RCGroup blog. Using it as a starting point I changed it to announce as a specified period of minutes. I have tested it somewhat in Companion and believe it should work on the radio, but exha...

Re: How do I read single cell voltages in Telemetry screen?
Is the total voltage called Cels? If it is you make Calculated telemetry entries like Cels.PNG Having the Total Voltage of the battery does NOT give you access to individual cells. This is not an OpenTX problem, it is a Lemon Telemetry problem. But since you didn't believe the first time, you probab...

Re: Few questions/issues with QX7 configuring logical switches/telemetry
The telemetry values returned from Spektrum receivers are not the same as the ones returned from FrSky. TRSS is supposedly telemetry received signal strength. As I understand it, which ain't much because when I asked on Spektrum oriented forum no one answered, but elsewhere someone said it was the s...

Re: First timer issues on QX7
AETR is very old, it matches many users because it matched Futaba. Futaba was king before Spektrum existed. (But Spektrum txs were just JRs in the beginning...sort of.) I've never used it,but many long time flyers think AETR is the norm. Having the 4in1 so it can always be setup the same way is cons...

Re: First timer issues on QX7
The Input and Mix pages do not have to correspond. so you can have Thr on ch1 on Input...or any other channel. The Mix page determines the order of the out puts...so for 4in1 modules you must have AETR for chan. 1234 on the mixer page. When you have ELV and THR lines with in one mix, Chan. 3, it nor...

Re: First timer issues on QX7
I think the Mixes order is wrong.
The mix order should AETR for the iRange 4in1. Internal it remaps the channels to Spektrum/JR order unless it is a very old 4in1 module

Re: Question on switches
A two position switch is emulated by using SA(up) and not SA(up), i.e. !SA(up). The weight is automatically determined and need not be specified. Weight normally is set for INPUTS or MIXES. So if you wanted to use the switch to control a channel output you would normally do something like this: Ch7 ...

Re: LiFe 3 cell battery for Taranis X9D Plus?
Operating Voltage Range:6-15v (2s, 3s Lipos are acceptable) The 3 cell LiFE is within specs for operating the tx, however the on-board charger does not support charging the LiFe. So you will have to remove your battery to charge it (safely.) The wall wart is just a power supply to the tx's on-board ...

Re: Beginners silly question re use of Companion.
It sounds like you want to save a single model. Companion does not do that*. It saves a set of models plus some radio setup data ...including the the stick and pot calibration data in an .otx file. My procedure for use is: 1. set up a new model in Companion and save it to Companions SD clone structu...

Re: Matching dual elevator
I think it would be easiest for someone to help if you posted your .otx.
If you do be sure to note which model you are working on.
I'm guessing it is a setup error, provided you have the same model servos and the location of pushrods are in the same control horn locations

I run a boat and cars on a QX7 using OpenTx. I just use the elevator channel for throttle and it is spring loaded to center. In MIXES they are normally additive, although they can be changed to multiply or replace. Replace does exactly that, it replaces all mixes before the mix that is replace. This is not true in INPUTS. In INPUTS the first one that is true is the only one used. See http://rcdiy.ca/opentx-transmitter-fir...

The receiver would operate fine on a 2s Lipo, 4, 5, 6 cell Nicad or Nimh or AA....but your servos may not operate or last long. Servos generally expect about 6v.
Yes, you can plug the battery source into any channel or the SBUS port.

Re: frysky taranis 9d plus receiver
Since that shows sbus input, you will have 16 channels available. How many are used by that stack depends on what firmware it runs and what options you put on your drone. As tonnie says, your question is too general to give a definitive answer. But channels available via your X9D and an SBUS capable...

Re: frysky taranis 9d plus receiver
If your flight controller in the drone accepts SBus, There are several small FrSky receivers that will work. RX4R, XSR, and XM+(no telemetry). If SBus is not an option RX4R, RX6R or RX8R depending on how many channels you need. If by radio, you mean the transmitter, the internal RF module can transm...
