Re: ERSKY9x Questions

I tried to order 4 of those tabbed lithiums from digikey and they called me to tell me that it could not be shipped via usps and I had to pick ups or fedex. I told them to cancel the order as the shipping would have been more than the parts.

Does your computer see the usb dongle? You should verify that it is present and has a driver installed under device manager.

Re: Which Frsky module to use?

Yes that module will work just fine. If you want telemetry data on a screen later you can add this and plug it into the back of the module.

Re: [HELP] er9x: activate on off combo on FrSky failsafe?

I don't think failsafe will do what you are looking for. Failsafe settings move the channel to the preset position and hold it there if the tx signal is lost. I don't think you can set a failsafe to move a channel from one position to the other.

Re: Elevator Stick Not Registering - Please Help!

Having the radio on or off depends on why you are testing. Testing ohms or continuity requires it to be off. Testing voltage levels requires power so you may need it to be on.

Re: Elevator Stick Not Registering - Please Help!

The testing you need it for is pretty simple. Just touch 2 leads to what you are testing and see what the meter reads. If you are in the states and are near a harbor freight you can pick up a cheap multimeter for $5 less if on sale.

Re: Elevator Stick Not Registering - Please Help!

The next step will be to get a multimeter and start checking things. Like ShowMaster said you can compare the values from one pot to another and make sure there are no shorts. It could be a faulty pot or a shorted wire or a burnt trace on the board somewhere.

Re: Elevator Stick Not Registering - Please Help!

Just to verify, if you go into the ANA menu in the radio settings do you see no movement of the values for the elevator pot when you move the stick?

Start up radio, Long LEFT button press, then 2 short left presses. It should be the A3 values that change with elevator if I remember correctly.

Elevator should be the one on the side. The top controls the left to right movement and the side is for up and down.

Install eepe and check it out. It will make it much more clear then you can set it up on the radio manually if you like.

Re: Throttlemix

Are you using eepe or companion 9x to setup models?

If you have eepe installed you can load this model file and check out the mixer and curve settings. You have to use one of the 9 point curves. How much the elevator moves will be determined by the amount you change the first and last curve points.

Re: Calmato Crash...

The "known" regulator issue is when people try to run the high power DSM modules on the 3.3 reg instead of using it's own regulator powered by battery power. Hardly an issue if you ask me as it doesn't affect anybody who doesn't use their radio in that fasion.

Where can we download the test version?

This will be my first install of open 9x. I've got companion 9x installed and downloaded the latest version shown there but I didn't see anything for test versions.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Quick question, is this normal behavior on the ersky9x board? I used to see this type of behavior on the stock board when the smartie parts EL panel was on. The ersky9x board does it whether the light is on or off. For clarification I mean the constant flickering or changing of the analog values htt...

Re: ongoing eepe issue

I'm afraid I need to become a lot more familiar with this before trying to start updating eepe. My crash course in svn and how to use qt just barely got me this far.

All the changes were in mainwindow.cpp

I'm just glad I could give back a little bit.

Success! I made 2 changes to the code and ran the program from within QTCreator and the problem is fixed. Now I need to know how to get those changes to whoever can test them and commit it to another version. I assume Mike or Erazz.

If you have more sd cards try some another ones. I had to try 3 different cards before I found one that would work.
