Re: 9X (and possibly 9XR/PRO) Switch Board Design
Ok, nice to know! By the way, I blew up my multimeter's current measurement fuse while testing this :( Ha-ha! I did that too! :) I was trying to calibrate a custom firmware for my IMAX B6 clone charger when that happened. My multimeter had a fuse (the classical one, like a glass bulb), that failed d...

Re: 9X (and possibly 9XR/PRO) Switch Board Design
João, Did you measure the "power off" current on your new circuit? I recently had a conversation on my local forum regarding the battery drain when radio is OFF. So I rechecked my switch board (that is based on your previous design) and got a very good <1 uA reading. I used a relatively ch...

Sounds great!!!
Mike,
I understand it's a bit too early to ask about support for the Betaflight PID adjustment LUA?

Looking forward to see the updated version!
In fact, I also had an idea how to improve that. But since your original design works perfectly fine for me, this was a really low-priority item in my to-do list...

Re: 9X (and possibly 9XR/PRO) Switch Board Design
I use such a switch with the AR9x board for quite some time already, and it works great! http://www.rccube.ru/image/cache/catalog/products/new_switch_1.4_02-500x500.jpg I didn't try it with a 9Xtreme though. Let me check if I still have my Eagle files for this project (it may take me a couple of day...

Good news! I got my EEPROM chips today! I'll post some pics to illustrate the process (just showing off my new USB "microscope", really... :) ). So, this is the original EEPROM chip we're about to replace: http://rcgear.ru/files/xjt_eeprom_01.jpg A closer look: http://rcgear.ru/files/xjt_e...

Stick reverse setting is in the Setup tab of the Radio Setup in eepskye.
But on the radio itself it's in the Hardware menu.
P.S. Added a few words about stick reverse to the third post!

Thank you, Mike!

Re: ERSKY9x Questions
Mike, I just realized Mute feature doesn't work when the radio is switched on with the left horizontal trim held to the left (to enable the Hardware menu). I press and hold the Left trim, Menu and Exit buttons all together, then power the radio on, get a message on the screen "Hardware menu ena...

Re: Is it possible to adjust calibration via eepskye?
Hmmm... With the stick setup properly (reverse = on, calibrated afterwards), it has a throw from 990 to 2012 (looking at the values in the Limits screen of the model setup). With the reverse = off (but calibration values still intact), it has a throw from 990 to 1962 With the reverse = off and calib...

Re: Is it possible to adjust calibration via eepskye?
Your suggestion involves a change in hardware. In my example, the hardware is NOT touched at all. It's just the software configuration that is changing. That's exactly why my brain tells me it shouldn't be the way it is now.

Re: Is it possible to adjust calibration via eepskye?
I think you are doing at least one thing in the wrong order. In my opinion the correct approach is to check the stick direction first, and then calibrate the sticks. That makes sense. I probably am doing it wrong, but that's somewhat automated in my brain... my intuition tells me to do it this way....

Re: Is it possible to adjust calibration via eepskye?
Oh! Another thing that came to my mind... This time for both the ersky9x and eepskye, although I checked it only in ersky9x so far. In fact, it's not even an issue. Just something unexpected that is rarely noticed in a day-to-day use. The first thing I do after I install new gimbals is the calibrati...

Re: Is it possible to adjust calibration via eepskye?
Ah, so that's how it works! Thank you, Mike! Now I get it! Yes, Throttle stick is reversed on my radio (I use FrSky M9 gimbals). I adjusted the calibration manually, and the stick now behaves exactly as expected! For the record, my "proper" values in eepskye for the Throttle (Analog 2) cha...

Re: Is it possible to adjust calibration via eepskye?
Well, there are two metal plates on the gimbals. One is for the friction, the other one enables ratchet: http://rcgear.ru/files/frsky_m9_11.jpg So I could easily go back to the "ratchet-less" setup. :) Still, I wonder if there's a way to adjust calibration via eepskye (in case I will want ...

Re: Is it possible to adjust calibration via eepskye?
Pot wire is not a problem. In my case, it's clearly the ratchet, I can feel it. When ratchet was disabled, there were no issues at all. As a side note: with the ratchet engaged, Throttle control becomes "discrete". I feel there are something like 20 to 22 steps only. That's why I'm not sur...

Is it possible to adjust calibration via eepskye?
For the first time in my life I enabled ratchet on the throttle stick. It feels nice, somewhat unusual. Not yet sure whether I will like it in flight... My issue is that due to the ratchet, the throttle stick doesn't stay in its upper position. It bounces back by a very little - which is, ...

Re: XJT beeping
Update: FrSky's tech support suggested to send the module back to FrSky for analysis / repair. As I wanted to find the issue myself, they recommended to replace the EEPROM chip M24C02-RDW5. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a similar chip in TSSOP8 package in our local shops (there are plenty of option...

I just installed RC17 of OpenTX 2.2 and it looks like this feature isn't there yet.
Will opening a ticket help to get it implemented?
(Sorry, I'm a lousy coder - so I can't really help with that)

Yes, please share your experience, especially how 9Xtreme will work with the new gimbals. There were questions asked in the past, but I couldn't comment as I don't have a 9Xtreme to test.
Thanks!

Re: XJT beeping
Correct, SWR is not the TSSI.
In my case, the SWR is about 0 and TxRSSI (I believe that's the TSSI) is about 100.
It all looks absolutely normal to me...

João,
the SWR is perfectly Ok. It's about 0 to 1 in normal conditions, rising to 15-16 when I cover the antenna with my hand.

Re: XJT beeping
Ok, I put together a small inverter based on a MAX232. The link worked right after that! Unfortunately, all the alarms were already in a 'Disabled' state. Just to try, I enabled each and every one of them, and then disabled again. But it changed nothing. The XJT still beeps... :( User manual states ...
