Did I burn my video cam
Well, I am wiring up a FPV system for my Syma X5C. tested the vTx and vCam with 1S lipo and everything works fine. both vTx and vCam works under 3.3V-5V. I used a 5V step up voltage regulator to supply 5V to the vCam and vTx to get the best range. the only thing i did not test is the 5V step up regu...

Re: Voice Packs for Ersky9x
I know , it is a pain in the neck, have to do all that editing. I have tried it.
I think I found another free, not demo, audio/voice prgram can save the file. will test it out to see if file edting is needed.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
I will probably never change the light switch in any model, just add confusion. if light switch is set in radio set up, i use it for all model. Any function in a specific model can always use a different switch, why 'have to' use that light switch? It is just as easy to program whatever function tha...

nmyron: hope you don't mind I ask you. Have you had a CP heli before? Those RTF you mentioned you had, are they CP or FP/cwaxial? If you never have or set up a CP heli, I would highly recommend you get information about how to set up a CP heli before you spin up your blades. No motor is needed to se...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
I think any name that would separate the 'voice' from 'beep' audio would be fine. On top of my head, I can't think of a better term yet. Audio seems to imply beep as well.

ON AR9X board, can we use PB4 without replacing the ELE to 3 position switch?
The 3 position ELE switch is only tied up with the extra pot on AD8/10 right?

Re: Model Setup Help?
nmyron: I noticed your ch6 pitch curve. In a normal CP heli, with that curve you won't have any negative pitch to do inverted fly. the pitch curve is -100 to 100. May be that is how CP S works. I am not sure. also, if you do have negative pitch with your pitch curve, with the THR switch in ch6, what...

Re: Model Setup Help?
nmyron: try one more thing here. put a weight of 80 in your ch1 setting and try. then 79,78 to 75. see if this will change your throttle behavior. I wonder if the '100' is just too much for the Nano throttle to handle. After all, 80 in er9x is equivalent to 100 in spectrum. if not change the 'limit'...

Re: Model Setup Help?
I've had to pull the main rotor blades so the thing doesn't cut me or the kids to bits. that is the 1st thing I said. ;) Especially on a model of unknown set up. You can look at the swash plate up/down, left/right without the blades. ONce everything seems working correctly, only THEN, you put the b...

KAL;
you are right. I put the wrong curve in ID0. It was late last night when I read this thread.
nmyron:
sorry about that, the c1 curve I intended to be -100, -50, 0, 50, 100
glad nothing happened, I guess you did take the blade off.

Ah, no wonder. Thank you. I thought it is going to beep while counting down. Just test it, it does not beep while counting down, just beeps and vibrates when timer is up. that is exactly what I wanted.
edit: another 'Geek' term.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions
Errrh, may be my fast aging eyes(started recently ), I checked the model general setup, I could not see a warning related to haptic. I see beep warning and beep count down, both I turned OFF.
when timer is up, the screen timer part does flashes, just no haptic.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions
A simpler question here.
I found out my timer when it is count down to zero, the Tx no longer vibrates as before (long time ago). Although I did turn on the warning. I wonder if there is another place to turn on the vibrator when the timer is up?

Mike: I saw the change name of T-Trim to Thr- Trim and the Insta-Trim switch in the r218. That is much much better. I love it. Very clear and self explanatory. Great!

Thx, that did it.
I just don't know how did that get in there. Probably when I convert from r178 to r287 with a big jump and the eeprom conversion a couple months ago. Never thought about the display 'optrex' became on. Since I never have an optrex.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Mike: I just updated ersky9x r218 on both Skyboard and AR9X board. I noticed on Skyboard, the whole screen display is off to the left by about 3 pixel and I can see 4 pixels on the right. Don't know this is my Tx or it is like that. Same FW on AR9X does not have that. I noticed this since the previo...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Thank you Mike for the clarification. Yes, as long as I /we know where the limitation is, it is not a problem. Possibly adding the choice for noninverted to go to com1 or com2 for Sky9x board. On the AR9X I/we can use the nonrs232 com2 pad for noninverted signal, and I already have a switch to do th...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Mike:
the AR9X and Sky9x are using the same ersky9x right? just in the hardware menu to turn on AR9X for AR9X board?
when you say all are up to date, I assume for both sky9x and AR9X it has the inverted rs232 ability and multi subprotocol?

got the Hyperion lipo from 9XTremist. Thank you! tried the 100 mah in the STAR and it took off. BUT there is problem, the fly time is down to 2 minutes and when flipping it, it drops a lot. I am sorry I did not bring this up earlier. It just popped up in my head. I recently got a new T9x and I put my SP v1.2??? (older/oldest version) in to flash the tx, but I could not do it. then I noticed the screw that came with my SP was not big enough (just a hair) to hold the board tight against ...
