Three months on and I'm still struggling with this conundrum. Apparently, OpenTx 2.2.X doesn't implement the parameters per the screen shots I previously posted from the Painless360 vid. And no-one appears to have an answer for this in 2.2.X
Quite frustrating

Re: "Smart" Throttle Cut?
I've taken screenshots from the vid. In the vid CH3 is THR and SG is the switch. 3 lines of programming compared to one in Ersky9X.

"Smart" Throttle Cut?
I've previously been using Ersky9X on my Taranis. There is a menu screen Safety Switches where it's an easy entry to enable a throttle cut that not only disables the throttle but also won't allow it to arm unless the THR stick is in the fully down position. A great safety feature. I'm trying OpenTx ...

Re: SOLVED Phoenix Sim?
I uninstalled the SIM from the PC then reinstalled it. Went into the radio Model > Protocol and set it to PPM 8 channels and changed Polarity to NEG. I also went into General menu and enabled Trainer. Not sure if the latter had any affect but it's all working now

SOLVED Phoenix Sim?
Upgraded the FW on Turnigy 9XR to 820. Now the Tx will not work with Phoenix Sim. I've setup a new model on the Tx and tried every protocol there is in Model Setup > Protocol including going into Radio Setup > Controls and enabling PPMSIM and setting that in the model Protocol menu. I'm now out of i...
Failsafe?
On my Taranis running ersky9x I can set failsafe from the Tx. Model Setup > Protocol > Failsafe > Custom then set the custom settings I want. I'm setting up er9x on a (aged) Turnigy 9XR. I've flashed the latest FW (821) but I've noticed the same Failsafe screen isn't there. The Rx is a Frsky S6R and...

Trainer Function - PPM 1 to 8 or 1 to16?
The manual states that CH's 1 - 4 are available as standard in the Radio Setup > Trainer menu and additional channels 5 to 8 can be added in the mixer. I appear to remember reading somewhere that CH 8 is not the upper limit but can go up to CH 16? Is this correct? The reason I ask is because I'm set...

How to update external XJT Module FW?
I have a Taranis XD9 Tx running ErSky9X. For reasons I won't go into I need to fit it with an external XJT module. However, the Taranis Tx FW is the international derivative and the module is EU LBT. I need to flash the module with the international version of the FW. The only HowTo guide I can find...

Re: Limiting Servo Movement?
Thanks for the reply again João. I'm going to have to have a play with this. I did read the manual example but some of it went over my head. For example, what is the "*" on the second line? You're correct about the CDI kill switch being on an indendent channel. The power for the CDI and co...

Re: Limiting Servo Movement?
Getting the servo arm in this position is at the point where the barrel in the carb is just starting to open i.e. tick over.Do you need such high idle setting??

Re: Limiting Servo Movement?
Thanks for the reply João. I've just got round to looking at this again. Engaging THr-Trim gives me some adjustment on the THR channell but it isn't as much as I need. So, I've been playing around with Weight and Offset . The mechanical set up of the servo arm and the throttle linkage on the carb is...

Limiting Servo Movement?
I'm trying to get the THR channel on my Taranis X9D Plus to sync with the amount of movement I need on the throttle arm of an IC installation. Ground testing the engine has determined that the throttle arm on the carb only needs to move through an arc of about 8mm from idle to full throttle. But I n...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting
I think I've resolved the issue. It's a combination of user ignorance and poor FrSky documentation. I found the solution when binding an exact same type of Delta 8 Rx to another model today. After creating a new model, doing my mixes, Expo etc., I went into Model Setup > Protocol. Switched on the in...

Re: Trainer Issue - Wild THR?
Quick Question about the Radio Setup > Trainer screen. In ersky9x I've noticed that next to "Trainer" there is a number that can be changed from 0 to 3. I can't find anything about this in the manual? Has it got something to do with how the slave is setup for different students?

Trainer Issue - Wild THR?
I've setup a Mode 1 Taranis (none Plus) as the Master and a new Mode 2 Taranis Plus as Slave. The control surfaces appear to be working ok on the Master and when I transfer control (!SF for testing) the Slave also has control of the control surfaces. The issue I have is with the Throttle. On the Mas...

Re: Wireless Trainer Module - Availability?
You can just take an SBUS or PPM receiver and hook it up with a male-male servo cable in the module bay, which is what this does in a slightly cleaner way. Thank you Kilrah 1) In addition to channels 1 - 4 the instructor/student setup also passes control of channels PPM7 & PPM8 via the Mixer fo...

Wireless Trainer Module - Availability?
Does anyone know of a module (or similar) to wirelessly connect two Taranis Tx's for student training. Both Tx's are running ERSky9X. I found this one but it's out of stock and I need a UK supplier. http://alofthobbies.com/linker.html It must be plug and play without the need for taking the back off...

Re: How to Change Taranis Firmware?
Just an update. I didn't hear back from Frsky tech support so I've flahed the none LBT version of the 161214 FW. Bench testing confirms my none LBT Rx's are binding with the Tx as expected.

Re: Wrong .bin Burnt to Taranis = screwed up Tx
Changing the Filter ADC setting to OSMP calmed the jittering down but SL still jitters but only in its mid position. There doesn't appear to be any slop when it centres. In the Radio Setup > DiagAna screen I can see SL as A7 and where its fast jittering between 0.0 and -0.3. SR is A5 and locked soli...

Re: Wrong .bin Burnt to Taranis = screwed up Tx
That's solved it. I had the wrong version in preferences. ERSky9X is back up and running. Thanks. The only thing I've noticed though is that there is some jitter on the knobs and slider bars. When it was running the stock version of OpenTX this wasn't evident in the channel monitor screen. And my ol...

Re: Wrong .bin Burnt to Taranis = screwed up Tx
Yes, it starts in bootloader mode. I've created a new EEPROM .bin file in eePeSKY and tried to burn it to the new Taranis in the hope that it would fix things but I get an operation failed message.

Wrong .bin Burnt to Taranis = screwed up Tx
I've got a new Taranis Plus and flashed ERSky9X without a problem. Everything was working fine. So I got my old Taranis (not Plus) and read my models from it to a .bin file using eePeSky. But this is where I made my mistake. I then burnt the .bin from the old Taranis to the new one completely forget...

Re: How to Change Taranis Firmware?
Yes, my older Taranis has a sticker in the same place with the date (2014). I've emailed FrSky support with the serial number and bar code number. It'll be interesting to see if I get a reply. I'll give it a few days and if I don't get a reply I'll flash the older FW version.
