Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters

I presume you mean programming for the 6 axis accelerometer. It was never implemented by the programmers. I think there was some problem getting the data out of the accelerometer. It is still sitting there as one of the issues from May 2016.

Re: Just a bit thick?

You will have to use a separate channel and tx switch to turn the light on and off. Something like this:

Re: Taranis X9D migrating 2.0 to 2.1/2.2 impact?

2.2 does a better job of conversion than 2.1 did. Sliders seem to be the only real problem, if you use a slider for flaps, check that function carefully. Thats what worries me ... i use sliders for crow brakes in 3 gliders..one of them even uses both sliders.. left for crow and right for camber/ref...

Re: Taranis X9D migrating 2.0 to 2.1/2.2 impact?

I believe that companion converts them? So, not a big deal? :) Yep. Although going from 2.0 to 2.2 there have been lots of improvements so there still is some manual work. Handling of telemetry changed entirely in 2.1. But everything related to model control is maintained, it's only "accessory...

Re: Taranis X9D migrating 2.0 to 2.1/2.2 impact?

2.2 does a better job of conversion than 2.1 did. Sliders seem to be the only real problem, if you use a slider for flaps, check that function carefully. Basically, when I went to the X10 and 2.2, I converted all my planes (20) on the Companion, tidied up some of the programming to be a bit more con...

Re: Taranis X9D migrating 2.0 to 2.1/2.2 impact?

1. You will need to redo any telemetry as that is now quite different. However they sensors you have work fine. 2. Go straight to 2.2 not 2.1.Make a backup of your SD card and your models first. 3. The sounds are different. Copy your custom sounds onto the SD card after installing the 2.2 SD card fi...

Now that I have used these documents I am even more impressed - very well done. While working on my project I discovered a newer way to create sound files that is far easier than the previously suggested methods. www.balabolka.com - free download and use. Simply type your text, FILE "Save Soun...

Re: "Smart" Throttle Cut?

If you look at the "How To" section of my OpenTX documents in this section of the forum, you will find there is a smart throttle cut/arming routine which is very simple, but almost foolproof. Not only does it require the throttle to be at zero, but the switch has to be activated at between...

Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters

Hi Rcdiy I haven't updated any of your issues yet. Life has been very hectic the last few months outside OpenTX and even the chance to fly. I have also been waiting for 2.2.2 to emerge and then do one big update. I assume people who download the docs will read some of the comments on here and see if...

Re: Taranis to Horus Mapping problem openTX 2.21

There is an open issue on the S2 mapping. Hopefully cured 2.2.2 I agree its a right pain with no progress bar and did ask for one but no joy. If you look in the bottom left hand corner of the Companion screen you will get a writing file message which disappears as soon as the file is written. Not id...

Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters

At the very least, the boxes are unclear. As far as I can see, It was of some use with the Taranis, as a 32k bin file was stored in the directory, however it has no effect whatsoever with the Horus. I will alter my docs too to clarify this. I think you are right not to rely on it doing model backups...

Very impressive! Thank you for putting this together. It will be very handy to refer to as I build new models in my radios. I do note that the section on GVARS does not mention Name, Unit, Precision, Min or Max - what they are, and possible limitation on their use (ie - "precision" of 0.0...

The X10 needs to be switched on, then connect to the PC/Mac. You will get a message on screen giving 2 options, either joystick or USB storage. You want the latter then you should be in. Incidentally, hoping to have full documentation for X10/X12/X7/X9 radios with OpenTX 2.2 ready within 2-3 weeks. ...
