I just finished the multikopter wizard. Should be added as download in a not to distant future.
This leaves the heli pages. I am afraid that I don't know enough about helicopters to be much help there.

Re: Sv: OpenTX 2.0.0
For everyone waiting for a deb file: Just a heads up for us linux folks. I have a Ubuntu based distro and since this isn't an apt-get (.deb) file, you have to work around it. Open it with the Archive Manager and save/extract the files into a folder. In my case I unpacked the RPM into the ~/Download...

Re: Sv: Using my own .bmps
I just made some graphic images for OpenTX using a custom 16 color grayscale palette. Works great. Finally I can use Gimp without the need to go through converters.
Thanks for the information davx!

Re: Sv: OpenTX 2.0.0
I have neither so I do not know, I just know that the file name length was reduced when something else increased. Might it have been the number of custom functions? Bertrand called the change a compromise to preserve memory. As far as I know the 9x is the only platform where this level of memory pin...

Re: Sv: OpenTX 2.0.0
Yes, that is a correct observation. The file names had to be shortened to 8 characters to preserve space for other needs. This might seem as a trivial saving, but each and every byte counts since voice can be used both in 9x and Taranis and the memory in 9x is completely and utterly full.

Re: Sv: OpenTX 2.0.0
Today no, it would not be simple, but feasible though, through DLLs compiled as we do today for the firmwares. You would compile your simulator just as you compile your firmware. Being able to "order" a simulator based on the exact same settings as the user has made for the firmware would...

That is interesting. I have tried exactly what you described several times with no success. Would you be so kind and attach the actual bmp file so I can have a look at it?

Re: Sv: At this point should I wait for the Taranis Plus ?
I doubt FrSky is waiting for 2.0. They have their own branch of the firmware tree and will release the plus with software from there. It is extremely likely that OpenTX will support 9XR Pro at a not to distant future. The Pro is not a completely new design. It is built on SkyNorth replacement board ...

Re: Sv: Using my own .bmps
Yes it will, but those 4bit bitmap files will not work in OpenTX.
Bitmap files have been around a long time (more than 25 years) and can be encoded in several very different ways. OpenTX is quite picky and will only accept certain encodings.

Re: Sv: Taranis Wizard
The Companion checkboxes for firmware settings do not influence the firmware simulator . They only influence which firmware that is downloaded. This is counter intuitive, but it is the way it is. Checking the checkbox for lua is not necessary. As far as I can see you have done everything right. It w...

Re: Sv: Using my own .bmps
Photoshop can produce bitmaps with usable color mapping. Gimp most definitely can not (I have at least failed in spite of many attempts). Some versions of MS Paint works, others do not. The convert command Bertrand uses produced to dark images for me. Removing the colorspace parameter produced bette...

Re: Sv: OpenTX - Nightly builds for pre-2.0 testing
Hi, No problem here to compile with Ubuntu 64bit. I've followed these instructions to install the ARM toolchain : https://launchpad.net/~terry.guo/+archive/gcc-arm-embedded @adilsongoliveira, I'm doing exactly what is explained in the wiki to build Companion and it works. Tchao I have added the inf...

Re: Sv: OpenTX - Nightly builds for pre-2.0 testing
Please report if you manage to compile. Both the OpenTX and Companion toolchains are needed to compile Companion and there is no known and documented method to install the ARM tools on 64 bit Linux.
But the problem you report does not seem to have anything to do with ARM. The cxx files are QT files.

Re: OpenTX voice file generator
Without any hesitation: Audacity for sound recording and editing. There are no good options for synthetic speech on Linux. Use a Web browser to go to one of the free demo pages available for voice demos. You can enter text there and record the result with Audacity. This is a really good one : http:/...

Re: Sv: OpenTX voice file generator
No. OpenTX Speaker is built using the very good synthetic voice component Microsoft introduced in Vista and removed in Windows 8.
As opposed to Companion it is built using C#, which is Microsoft proprietary.
So Windows Vista or Windows7 is required to run it.

Re: Sv: OpenTX voice file generator
What is even sadder is that Microsoft removed the pretty excellent synthetic speech they introduced in Vista for Windows 8 and replaced it with - Nothing. (Not entirely true, but almost ). What is also sad is that they had high quality voices for all languages available at one point as free download...

Re: Sv: OpenTX voice file generator
The program needs sound generation components in the operating system that were introduced in Windows Vista. When I wrote the voice generation program I never tested on Vista, only on Windows 7, which is why the information on the download side says that it will only run on Windows7. Vista might wor...

Re: Sv: Is the Taranis for everyone
There are some plans for including a wizard setup in OpenTX for Taranis. You will chose a type of model and then answer questions about it. The result will be a ready made mix. But this work is very much in it's infancy. No idea when it will be done. My guess is that it will not be included in 2.0 Y...

Re: Sv: It's not "IF". The question is "WHEN and WHERE"
The stupidity seems to be universal. A local idiot in my home town Stockholm decided it was a good idea to start a hexakopter from his backyard and fly it straight up to above the cloud ceiling. He got to 1100 meters height. The problem with this is that his house is right under the approach to a bu...

Re: Sv: OpenTX - Nightly builds for pre-2.0 testing
Thinking about it, I would actually prefer if there was an official voice file list for each language available in the wiki or even on the home page, since this is information that a lot of people need when they change and append the original sound file packages. One of those online word docs would ...

Testing a few different USB cables is a good idea. My impression is that the Taranis is sensitive to slightly long or badly shielded USB cables. I have a few that do work with other devices, but not with my Taranis.

You can go to github and look at the commits that have been made in-between two builds. The commits are time stamped and documented by one or several comments. Sometimes there is an issue that has been closed by a commit, which means there is even more information available. https://github.com/opent...

As demonstrated; using lead free solder is not the way to go for a great learning experience. Each time I use lead free solder I feel like I have never held an iron before.
