companion9x has been superseded by OpenTX Companion 2.0. If you want to upgrade you can download the new Companion from www.open-tx.org.
Look in the download page. I think there is a mac version available for the very latest release (2.0.5)

Re: Sv: Taranis - speaker buzz
Sadly, all Taranis radios buzz. Rearranging wires inside the radio might lessen the effect. So might changing the antenna angle. It is a flaw in the design of the radio, not a production problem.

Re: Sv: Creating templates companion 2.0.3
As you might have discovered there is not one, but two Wizards available. The one I and Kilrah talked about is in Companion and the one you mentioned is in the radio itself. There is never to much of a good thing :-) In both cases they are works in progress and lack support for helicopters. I am afr...

Re: Creating templates companion 2.0.3
Open a new models and settings file. Right click one of the empty lines. There is a wizard option there. The default is to also use the wizard when you create a new model by double clicking on an empty line. This function might be turned off in the settings, depending on if you upgraded from compani...

Re: Sv: OpenTX 2.0.0
I can edit and modify all files for OpenTx with "Write" without destroing them. They are saved in plain text. I compared the files with a hex editor. No difference except the line end. Write "can" save files in RTF format but also as textdocument (plain text) or as Text-document...

Re: Sv: Companion9 Ver 1.5 and 2.?
First off : The 9xr Pro is brand spanking new. Companion9x knows nothing about it and will not work. Companion 2.0 does know about it and should work. During the development period for Companion 2.0 and OpenTX 2.0 most of the team and testers had no Pros to test on. Bertrand has one, but the rest of...

Re: Sv: OpenTX - Nightly builds for pre-2.0 testing
Sounds like a bug to me. I have opened an issue report on Github.HC1969 wrote:Same settings work differently in the two timer.
Timer1 30s, 20s, 10s, 9, 8, 7, 6, ... 0 (good)
Timer2 30s, 20s, 10s, 10s, 10s, 10s, 10s, ... (bug)

You have downloaded the code. Why don't you just read it and find out if it is spying or not? It is all out in the open. I have personally no idea what the Google analytics are used for and would be interested to find out more.

Re: Sv: OpenTX - Nightly builds for pre-2.0 testing
Just downloadad 2.0,2. Sorry guys, Companion still doesn't play sounds on my Win XP desktop or laptop. Yes our attempts at fixing the problems (there were more than one) actually seems to have completely broken sound on Windows. I could get 2.0.1 to work by manually setting up the sound module (Pho...

Re: Sv: OpenTX 2.0.0
I have made an issue report for this. I have experienced reboots with two different radios while using trim (a 9x and a 9xr). The more or less instant restart of the radio saved my skin even if the 3 second restart time for the Orange module in one case took me awfully close to ground.

Re: OpenTX - Nightly builds for pre-2.0 testing
This is cut from the OpenTX manual: "Throttle source defines what triggers the THx functions of the timers. It's common to set it to the throttle channel instead of the stick, so that throttle cut or other modifiers are taken into account." So yes, it would seem that Reinhard's observation...

Re: Open-Tx/Companion 2 for Linux
Apart from the deb/rpm issue the current 32 bit binaries will not work on a 64 bit system.. They are built for 32 bit Linux.

Re: OpenTX 2.0.0
Most of the options are for 9x/9xr radios which have limited program memory and can not fit all options at once. Almost all features (voice etc) are always available for the Taranis. The easiest way o find out what makes sense for Taranis is to check the fw selection page in companion. You see all t...

Re: Companion 2.01
No, it is probably not a bug. The 2.0 server is under much harder pressure than the 1.52 has been for a long time. And if the specific variant of firmware you ask for has not been downloaded previously, it is built on the fly before it is downloaded. This takes a long time and is naturally much more...

Re: Sv: I'm so stupid- maybe chicken. Need some confidence.
My part of the confidence boost: I have used Futaba 2.4, FrSky 2.4, FlySky 2.4 and DSM2 2.4. Never any problems with neither Futaba nor FrSky. Both seem rock solid. Would gladly use either system for anything. Lots of problems with FlySky and a few with DSM2. I would not trust either of these system...

Thank you for the amazing release. I got my Taranis yesterday and the first thing i did was put OpenTX 2 on it. One thing that bothers me though. Re: Sv: Lua scripting output and CompanionTX
Ok, then I guess that the default answer applies : New additions to OpenTX are seldom added to the editor in Companion directly, but the general idea is to integrate them in the Companion editor when time allows. Even if it is hard to make proper edits of the LUA settings made in the radio, they oug...

Re: Sv: Lua scripting output and CompanionTX
So has there been any brainstorming on how to handle the Lua scripting in CompanionTX? I know there is no Lua tab, so any scripts have to be set up in the radio. I also found that if I use the output to trigger a Logical Switch, when I load the eepe into CompanionTX the Lua Output name comes up bla...

Re: Sv: OpenTX 2.0.0
When writing the EEPE's back to the radio, progress bar goes to 100%, and I never get the completed popup. Transfer seems to be fine, I just have to kill companion to get past it. Is everybody else's working fine? I think I see the same thing. The dialog hangs around after going to 100%. In my case...

Re: Sv: Can't connect to radio with Companion
Same with me also. I get a message that says AVRDUDE EXECUTABLE NOT FOUND. Avrdude is the program used to communicate with 9x and 9xr radios. Companion can not find it. There is a setup dialog for specifying where it is. Press the lowest button in the vertical toolbar on the left side of the window...

Re: Sv: Flashing Version 2
I am a relative newby to Taranis, and I note that version 2 of the firmware is now available as is version 2 of Companion 9x. Question: Can I flash version 2 firmware with version 1.52 of Companion, or would I be better using version 2 of Companion? And what is this talk about a bootloader? You can...

Found it:

It is not the problem that is reported in the linked post, but it is reported a few posts down.
Sadly Mike does not describe what he did to fix the problem, it just goes away in some of all the consecutive versions I tested.

Re: Sv: OpenTX - Nightly builds for pre-2.0 testing
Back in November I helped MikeB with some tests of Taranis versions of ersky9x. My radio exhibited the exact same problem as above and would have parts of the screen grayed out on occasions. The radio was functional and rebooting it fixed the problem. I think that the problem was due to some kind of...

No. Looks like corruption of the graphics memory. That is bad. Does the gray field stay in place if you switch screen by pressing e.g. the page button ?

I have ordered one. I had a 9XR and liked some aspects of it. I however got every single early version problem (sticky buttons, cracks in the case, failing sticks etc). I fixed it and sold it. Hoping for better luck this time. I ordered the special telemetry cable that supports the XJT and DJT modul...
