Re: Differential in elevator set-up
When you say "it won't work" what do you mean? Can you get your servos to move at all?

Re: Data Logging question
opentx-x9d ver 2.2.3 on an early Taranis X9D. I think I have it figured out. I tested logging again by turning off logging for 10, 20, 30sec, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes and 10 minutes. The first four (up to 1 minute off) went all on the same session with nulls between. The rest were logged as se...

Re: Data Logging question
Putting SD logging on a switch allows me to start logging at the beginning of a flight. Once turned on, turning off SD logging does give a string of zero values (which is useful in finding the end of flights) but it does not result in a new session when logging is turned back on. It still seems like...

Data Logging question
I would like to limit the size of the SD logging file and have it broken into just the actual flights. When SD Logging is on, a new "flight" is recorded from the moment logging is turned on until the TX is turned off. Is there a way to record a new "flight" without turning the tu...

Re: 3D Printing with PETG Filament (CR10 3D Printing)
I've found that I had to slow the print speed to about 1/2 what I use for PLA. Your temps also seem a little high to me. PETG normally has excellent layer to layer bonding even at lower temps. Dropping the print speed solved a lot of problems for me.

Re: Taranis X9D Plus Binding to S6R receiver Problem
Make sure you have the lastest firmware on both the receiver and the tx module (get them from Frsky). My S6R would only bind on certain numbers so try several.

Re: 3D Printed RC Truck Wheel Rims (CR10 3D Printer)
PETG might be a good filament to try. It has very good layer to layer bonding and it less brittle than PLA. That and increase the hub diameter a bit.

Lua Script for Frsky Neuron ESCs
Frsky says that their Neuron ESCs can be programmed via Lua script but I've been unable to find one. Does anyone know of one for Taranis?

Replace my early X9D with an X9D+ or Horus X10?
I'm replacing my reliable but beat up early X9D. I'm trying to decide whether to get a new X9D+ or a new X10. I'd like to hear from those who made the jump to the X10. How do you feel about it today? Was it worth the extra money?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The USB does not charge the battery! Unwrap your charger and use it.

Re: Control 2 servos via 1 channel for continuous rotation?
Looking at the servo he wants to use, the servo can be programmed in terms of direction so one channel and a Y connector seems to be all that's required.

You can map the throttle to two channels in opposite directions.

Re: X9D+ No Longer Logging Telemetry
You RTC should not reset if the battery is good and making good contact in the holder. Even with a dead RTC battery mine never had other issues and judging by the last good log file it had been dead for a couple months.

Check your RTC battery. I had the same problem, tried all the things you listed. Replacing the battery fixed it

Did you have logging turned on by chance? That might give some idea of what's going on.

Re: SP-FLVS causing radio interference?
I appearantly flew for six weeks trouble free with a dead RTC battery.
I'll have to come up with a more controlled scenario for testing and documenting any effect of using the sensor.

Re: SP-FLVS causing radio interference?
The telemetry logs show a rock solid rx voltage of 5.83V. The antennas are at 90 degrees and receiver and antenna mounted mid plane about 8" behind the battery and voltage sensor. I removed the sensor and got about a 15db improvement on the next flight. What about the S-port lead itself? It's f...

SP-FLVS causing radio interference?
I added a SP-FLVS lipo sensor to a plane and got several "RSSI Low" and "RSSI Critical" warnings during a flight. Since this plane has been flying for two years without problems and the only thing that changed was the addition of SP-FLVS I removed it and flew it again with no pro...

Have you downloaded Companion for the Taranis? It has a simulator that will show servo motions and rates. Very useful for learning how things work on the Taranis.

Re: EBike discussions
I'd worry about torque with a typical outrunner. I suggest you look into the motor in the hub wheels. I have one and it's very nice and quiet. When the lead acid batteries go I was thinking about building a new pack from A123 cells. They are much more robust than lipos and no fire hazard. You could ...

I had a similar problem. I was using GV's to set optimal mixes for early shake down flights (while flying.) I really only wanted the final readings. I made it announce every time the GV changed and then again 5 seconds later.
