This is to list the changes I intend to do to the er9x EEPROM structure. I'll update this first post as the ideas firm up.
1. Fix the mode change problems.
2. Custom switches - extend the AND switch options.
3. Default switch settings - per model instead of the whole radio.

Re: er9x development
Eepe will need quite a lot of changes to handle an updated EEPROM structure, while remaining compatible with older structures and being able to convert between them. In general, I just want to do a single structure change, fixing a number of things, and perhaps expanding/extending some others. These...

Re: er9x development
There is a version number in there already, in the general settings, and I just see it is put into the eepe and eepm files as well. The main problem with this mode change is I have no way of knowing (as far as I can tell so far), on an eepm file, which mode the Tx was in when it was saved. Therefore...

Re: What does this mean please?"
Some time ago I created some test software for the stock (unmodified) board. The files are here: http://code.google.com/p/er9x/downloads/list er9x-keydiag.hex er9x-anadiag.hex. Try flashing the keydiag one first. When it runs, it puts up the key DIAG screen, and lets you check the function of all th...

The Mega128 is already supported. There is only me doing the changes so I don't know how long it will take.
I might try a quick change to re-label the flight mode trims.

Re: er9x development
It may be that now is the time to consider a major change. What I'm thinking is to stop building er9x and start building er9xV2, something Erazz and I started before Erazz drifted away. This will make controlling changing the EEPROM change easier to do, and makes it more obvious to users there is a ...

Re: er9x development
This is related to a general problem regarding the stick mode, and changing modes. I need to either change the flight modes display, thus changing RETA into RTEA for mode 2, or I need to do a major change to sort the stick modes problem. The latter change involves an EEPROM change so I need to think...

Please post a copy of your EEPROM, as saved by eepe.
I just did a quick test in eepe and it seems OK.
Mike.
Edit: I think I can see the problem, I'l investigate.

Re: eepSKYe
Small steps, and something complete will take longer, but I think I have an emulator for the WS How High running. I can plug a serial interface from the PC into the Rx and get an altitude reading on the Tx.
Next, I'll try to emulate 1 data item from the hub.

Re: er9x development
In what way? I'd actually like to remove all the specific telemetry alarms. They were implemented first, but since then the custom/safety switch method has been added. All the hard coded alarms are really just taking up flash space, and can all be replaced using the custom/safety switch methods. Mike.
Re: eepSKYe
I'm looking into adding a telemetry simulator to eepe to help with this sort of thing.

Re: [IDEA] Set and Rest for a Custom Switch or Variable
On er9x you can have:
CS1 OR RUD !CS2
CS2 OR ELE !CS1.
This creates a set-reset filp-flop, in this case RUD and ELE switches are the SET and RESET, level sensitive, inputs. Logically it is correct, but in openTx the implementation of the custom switches means it doesn't work for some reason.

Re: eepSKYe
Oh, sorry! I just took my setup from er9x, it only has 16 safety switches, so yes, just substitute VS23 and VS24 for VS15 and VS16. I also suggested you use custom switch 7 as the 'AND' switch as this is the last one available on er9x for this, all custom switches are available on ersky9x for use in...

Re: New to OpenTX, question about setting up flaps
Flaps, using the 3POS as source is one situation where you might make use of sub-trim and limits. Quite simply, the sub-trim moves the output that corresponds to the 0% setting, while the limits set the positions at the -100% and +100% settings. None of these three settings affects the other two. So...

It might be OK The switching will create some noise on the supply, and this might cause the analog supply to the sticks/pots to become noisy leading to increased jitter on the sticks.

Re: er9x development
Alarm tones are available in the SAFETY switches menu. Each SAFETY switch has a type field, by default it is 'S' for safety. Other options are 'A' for Audio and 'V' for Voice. If you set it to 'A', then you may select a switch and an audio sample. When the switch turns ON, the audio sample is played...
Re: eepSKYe
When using the WSHH, it replaces the FrSky barometric altitude value. You should be able to set a custom switch to to turn on over 400 ft.
S1 v>ofs ALT 400f
then use this for alarm or voice output.

Re: eepSKYe
I've just tested the WSHH height alarm and it seems to work OK. I've got a program running on the PC that simulatest the WSHH serial data. Plug the serial into a Rx and I get the correct height displayed. If I go over 400ft, then I get beeps. Before anyone asks, the test program is written using Lab...

Re: er9x development
I have some ideas in mind for the scaling of telemetry. I'm not sure we need more alarm setting capability. You can already set an alarm by using a custom switch and then a safety/voice switch, either as voice or as alarm. There will be limits on how much can be added to er9x stock due to the M64 li...

Yes, it was removed. It didn't really achieve anything and only added confusion for people ask what it did. It also saved some flash space to allow adding something more useful.

Re: New to OpenTX, question about setting up flaps
I have an interesting (well I think so) flap setup on an aerobatic model with split flaps. Mechanically, they are set up so that -100% is fully up, the exact setting trimmed in the limits menu. Then I have: CH6: +100% P3 CH6: R -50% MAX switch(ID1) CH6: R +100% MAX switch(ID2) CH5: +100% CH6 slow(d2...

This is the file that gives all the items needed for SAM-BA to work with the SKY board.
It contains a directory calles SAM-BA. Unzip the contents of this into the tcl_lib sub-directory of your SAM-BA installation.

Re: eepSKYe
I wonder if holding the sensor near a vacuum cleaner could produce a sufficient reduction in local air pressure to get a reading. If it is only a small reduction, try it at the top of your ladder!

Re: Burning Flash on Windows
On the Taranis, due to the different processor, you need to do things differently for the flash and the EEPROM.
For the EEPROM, power on the Tx, then plug the USB cable in.
For the flash, do NOT power on the Tx, just plug the USB cable in.

Welcome message still OK for me, have you disabled the slpash screen? This turns the welcome message off as well I think.
Not sure about the WSHH alarm, not having a WSHH makes it difficult to test, I'll try to set up a simulator for it.
