Re: Improvement of stick to pulses latency on stock board
You will need to pre-process again, every time the mixes are edited. The mixes will, of course, be ordered by channel number as well, all mixes on a channel must be processed in order for that channel, otherwise REPLACE mixes won't work properly. Also alloow for a mix to be dependent on its own chan...

Re: ERSky Voice Files
Whilst I was changing bits and pieces, one at a time searching for the source of the drift, the voltage displayed went over 6 Volts whereupon the announcement was correct! So I adjusted the divider down and the displayed voltage went under 6 Volts and the announcement went back to being out by 10 t...

Re: Drifting calibration of A1 FrSky telemetry voltage ErSky
What value are your three 1 watt resistors, and what type of resistor are they? If you hae a chance, can you look at the displayed value for the receiver voltage and see how many decimal places are displayed? In particular, is the voice announcement OK with 1 decimal place, and out by a factor of 10...

Re: stick 3 elevator ANAS input jumping
Jumping by 8 is not a problem. Also, in the RADIO SETUP menu there is an option to use filtering on the analog inputs. These can reduce any residual jumping.

I'm using 4.7.2. It generates smaller code than 4.5.1. I'm not sure whether the PROGMEM has been fixed, but the code compiles correctly without any errors. There is a thread regarding getting 4.7.1 to run http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1165&p=24006&hilit=gcc+4.7.2#p163...

84mm x 45mm single sided is £144 for 100, If double sided (could add a nice ground plane and the three wire links), it would be around £155 for 100.

Re: Audio (voice) - Stock 9X PCB
We have two or three options. I have a layout for a double sided board that uses only through hole components. hageha has a single sided board with through hole processor and LM386 and the rest 1206 surface mount. Joao and I have (large) stripboard versions both, using a mixture of through hole and ...

Re: Confused by the speaker mod
No, the diode doesn't dissipate the energy (or not much), the internal resistance of the motor does that. Adding a series resistor actually reduces the dissipation overall. The inductance of the motor has stored energy, not voltage or current. When the motor is switched off, then you may get more th...

Re: ERSky Voice Files
There is some code in that automatically switches the displayed value from 1 decimal place to 2 decimal places under certain conditions of scale factor and value. It is likely that this is not handled in the voice. The hint to me is in the display above where the A1 voltage is displayed as 5.50v not...

Re: Confused by the speaker mod
I agree that having the 1K resistors is not a good idea. Motors are inductors. When you switch them off, you get a high voltage spike produced (could be tens of volts!) that can damage other circuitry, the diode is there to supress it. Putting the resistor in series prevents the diode from carrying ...

Re: Improvement of stick to pulses latency on stock board
Do I understand that you are only calculating the mixers once for each set of PPM pulses, but doing this as close to the start of the pulses as possible? So if your PPM sequence is 22.5 mS long, this is the time between mixer calculations? If so, I am wondering about complex mixes where a high chann...
Re: openX9D
I would agree with the concept that data displayed while actually flying (e.g. telemetry, timer(s)) should be BIG, CLEAR and uncluttered.

The pdf file in the first post of that thread is still the correct one for building the voice addon using the Emartee module. Unfortunately, recent Emartee modules have a slower response time making the voice output rather "spaced out". As may be seen later in that thread, we have an "...

Re: Drifting calibration of A1 FrSky telemetry voltage ErSky
What is your "hand crafted" divider like? Could it simply be a resistor warming up and changing resistance? You are dropping nearly 40 volts across it. If you are using a pot, these can have a large drift in voltage with temperature, much more than "standard" resistors. How much ...

Yes, features are in more than one place. Take dual-rates/expo. There is a menu to configure them, then they are processed in the main mixer routine. The default values are no expo and 100% rate, so it would be OK to just remove the menu. To do so, delete the enum e_ExpoAll in "enum EnumTabMode...

0001 through 0005 are still used by the timer count down function, hard coded so they didn't move when 0401-0405 were added. I may be able to chnage this now though, after some other changes that have been made. I'll see if I can look into the A1 voice 'bug'. As a test, could you change the A2 scali...

I'm afraid there is no software design spec. There is the user manual that gives an idea of the result of the code. The software has evolved over time, with several different people adding/modifying it. I've been trying to add a few more comments as I go along, but not enough really. Part of the pro...

I'll get the popup concept working then see if it will extend to the model select later. It's specific to the mix menu, I may need to make it more general purpose but the mixer menu is needing a lot of code changes first. The throttle trace is still present. It looks like it has gone from open9x. I ...

Exactly, just the source files are now available to all. I've started on the FAT file system to allow writing to the SD card, but I'm also working on er9x itself. The mixer menu uses a lot of RAM. I'm re-writing this. It should free off quite a bit of RAM, and I hope the flash usage is less as well,...

I'll try to do the commit later today, just need to 'undo' a couple of test changes I have in first. I have the full FATFS code we use o...

Re: Installation of samba problems!!
I assume from the above by "had to do the brick procedure" you mean you used the erase jumper. If so, then this erased the "boot fuse" that tells the ARM processor to execute from flash not ROM. Did you use the SAMBA script to set the fuse? With SAMBA running there is a small win...
