Re: Battery upgrade?
What rcgyuk said is what I did except I harvested a balance connector off an old 2s lipo and used it instead of cutthing the plug off the stock battery. Gives me a battery nd a backup.

Re: Trainer switch - push to break, or push to make
Can someone describe exactly why it should be momentary. On my SkyNorth er9x tx I replaced the trainer switch for an on/off and it messed up instant trim, but trainer didn't seem to suffer. Kilrah gave an excellent explanation in RCG -- but I can't put my finger on it now. May it was too momentary?...

Any 2s or 3s that will fit.
But I like this better and it fits...after fudging around with the connector

Re: Taranis power and charging?
Thanks Mike, I like having some measured data rather than educated analysis.
Did the total power consumption stay the same?
You didn't say how much you raised and lowered voltage, but this seems to prove its a switching regulator.

Re: Taranis power and charging?
6 nimh if you want to use the charger that comes with it. For externally charging, any of the above would do, but the 3s is probably the better choice. The switching voltage regulator means very little wasted of the Volts over 6 volts needed....a 2S LiPo or LiFe could possibly drop that low...or low...

Was this a snap on antenna like this

Or did you have to solder it on?
That external antenna is really awkward

Re: Playing custom wav files.
Well that worked easy in audacity, but it took away the challenge.
I was half way through working out how to do it in a command line.
(First I had to change the background color to the 'blue screen oif death' blue, to help me dredge up Dos commands from memory.)

Re: Playing custom wav files.
So I've downloaded 32bit ffmpeg and unzipped it. I get bin file with ffmpeg, ffmplay and ffprobe. clicking ffmpeg gets me a blavk screen for a fraction of second...then gone. So I'm guessing setting the Environment Variable is important. But I don't know how. Any help? Rob, does it bother anyone but...

Re: Model Artwork for Taranis
Watch out for that ten character name limit.
If I exceed it I can\'t see it on the Taranis, even if its in the file on SD
I couldn't figure how to rename it on Tx, but just do it on the PC works fine.

I don't know if the module is any good as I have nothing else with a JR style socket. The module blinks...

Step 1.5. Knowing I will be writing models now and firmwae later, the first thing I want is to read/upload the contents of the Tx as delivered by the manufacture. In hopes that if (when?)
