Re: Dead 9Xtreme
Thanks for the warning Kal. I already desoldered it. I am a plastic surgeon with a microscope and lots of patience. It came off with no collateral damage. Now I am awaiting the STM chip. Also Joao, I took the SD card out as you suggested and the vr still got hot. I sure hope that the new STM chip do...

Thanks, I will order a central processor. It will take a few days to get here. Then I will let you all know what happens. Also I found Kal's recent topic and experience which outlines how to program a new chip.

Ok, I found one very hot chip with a label of 662.. So I assume that is the 3.3v regulator. I traced the circuit as best as I could visually and did not find any other hot chip. Where might I look next?

Re: Dead 9Xtreme
Anyone else that might help please chime in. Steve said that he doesn't quite know where to start looking. I since have put a recovered 9x motherboard (with 2561) under the 9Xtreme board. It came from a functioning 9x, I am getting 12v at the vbatt via, 5v at the 5v via, and 1v at the 3v via on the ...

S_mac, I just lost one of 5 9xtreme boards. I was trying to flash an orange module with muti protocol firmware and accidently put 12v onto either the clk pin(most bottom in the module bay) or the data pin(topmost pin). I can not find any burned or distorted chips or traces on either the 9xtreme or t...

Thinepa, I am not familiar with MAC, but it appears that "voice" is your main directory and the others are subdirectories. All should be in the root directory along with "voice" directory.

I gave up trying to get the BNF version to bind to any of my dsmx, dsm2 or orange multi. I removed the Spectrum Rx replaced it with a X8R Rx. I used pwm jumpers to the FC. It works well. Guess I wasted the extra money for the BNF (Spectrum Rx). Actually Santa wasted his money. I did not tell my wife...

Stormister, Sounds like you are using too much heat. This maybe from too big of a tip or contact for too long. I would suggest looking on YouTube as there are many excellent videos on good soldering technique. You will need good flux and leaded solder. Pre tin both wire and pad. Load your small flat...

Re: 9Xtreme V2? Or Discontinued?
I just ordered a fourth board to upgrade my fourth 9x. A version 2 sounds good, but I wonder if the market is becoming saturated. From a business point of view I understand if you need to discontinue. I hope not, but with four Txs now upgraded unless there were very significant upgrades I and maybe ...

"Unfortunately, 6BA screws are a bit hard to come by in the US. Do you think M2.5 or M3 screws will work? They are a bit easier to find. " Another option that was worked well for me is to drill and tap for 3mm. This avoids splitting the fragile posts. Then the much easier to find 3mm bolts...

I confirmed this behavior on a m128( new ) with 9xtreme. It occours with pot 3 at minimum or maximum or any value in between. Monitoring on the Diagana page in hardware, if any value on pot 3 is positive then then value goes to -82 and stays there until further manipulation of pots 2 & 3. It the...

Joao and Bob, thanks again for your help! I finally have Pot4 and Pot5 (Taranis sliders) working. Joao you are right about the labeling. So, on the right the green wire is ground and is the gray wire 5v? The gray (pin one on both sides)is presently going to the sliders red wire and the green (pin 4) to the brown.
