That was my recollection, which was why I wondered if it could be done differently. Perhaps an option in Companion TX when you compile firmware, do you use normal or crossed trims ?

Default would be normal, user would have to tick to get the function switched.

It never has. I had hoped the latest version would have fixed it.

Done that, with the new Open TX was really simple. Everything works.

Just wish I knew why upgrading the internal module failed and sent me down this path.

Further update. I have 4 RX on the bench. D4R-II, X4R, X6R and X8R. All bought at different times, not sure of the age of them. I can bind to the D4R-II and X6R only. So it appears not only can Sport.exe not find device, neither can the Taranis itself !

Arrow keys work but still exits to model screen when I select update internal XJT

Tried the original ersky9x again. Still the same.

To recap,:

original version, arrow keys work but can't get to select file screen.
ersky9xProvR219g.zip, arrow keys don't work.
Open TX 2.1.7 give firmware upgrade error.
Sport.exe can't find device.

Is there anywhere to go from here ?

Thats exactly what I am doing.

I can see the arrows on the screen exactly as you describe.

I down arrow once to highlight the second option, Update Int. XJT but whether I long or short press the top right button, I revert to the MODEL 01 screen.

Followed instructions as far as "6. Select the "Update Int. XJT" option, select the file then confirm the update"

No matter what I press, I can't bring up an option to select file. It just exits back to 'normal' model screen.

Any clues ?

How long should it take to find device ?

Since I tried to update the internal module, and got the firmware update error, I now can't bind to anything, D or X.

Do I need to buy a new TX ?

Ok, seems if I click the scan and fix message the second window that opens has an option to continue without scanning, at which point all the folders become visible.

My win 7 laptop does the name, not yet tried it on an XP PC.

Do I have anything to worry about ?
