Ersky 9x Explained

Here is a manual for ersky9x. I have not personally used global variables or set up a student radio using the trainer pages in ersky9x so my explanations for the operation of these pages may be somewhat weak. I used Erazz's Er9x manual for some of the text for which I am most grateful but I felt it ...

Using SAM-BA to upload ErSky9x

I have recently uploaded r178 of ErSky9x to both my transmitters. One has a Rev1B board and the other a Rev3 board. I wrote some notes and with reference to existing descriptions and some pure plagiarism I have produced this document. I had my 85 year old barely computer literate colleague in mind w...

Re: eepSKYe

I am so delighted with eepSKYe that I should put on record my amazement and gratitude to Mike B and anyone else involved in the development of eepSKYe. Having flashed r178 of ErSky9x into my Ver 3 board Transmitter (Tx2), the three models therein disappeared together with the Tx settings. Yes; I di ...

Re: eepSKYe

Mike. The latest eepSKYe loaded and ran successfully today using version 2.11 of SAM-BA and latest tc.lib files on my ErSky 9x Version B1 board under Windows XP. The upper case use for the port name fixed the problem allowing SAM-BA to do it's job. I loaded the eeprom from my transmitter and perused...

Re: eepSKYe

Regarding my request above: I tried eepskye with SAM-BA 2.11 also. I get the same error message saying it can not find COM5 yet when I use SAM-BA 2.11 it connects and I can download the firmware and eeprom from the Tx. New questions related to the above using SAM-BA instead of eepskye: All this rela...

Re: more than eight channels Rx

Hi LTMNO Sorry. I didn't mean to be so patronising to you or anyone who is familiar with FPV and OSD. The OSD I am learning to use is the Cyclops Storm. There must be lots of different capabilities in OSD's of which I am also ignorant. I have occasionally considered building a CNC router (and also 3...

Re: more than eight channels Rx

OSD is the acronym for On Screen Display and it consists of an electronic box which superimposes written and graphical information onto video which is being recorded real time by a camera on the aircraft. Hi Romolo. I can not find Version 0.97 either. It was at this page http://code.google.com/p/companion9x/ this morning but has since disappeared probably at the same time as Version 1.41 for Mac OSx was uploaded. I have uploaded Version 1.41 and it appears to be all OK. I will try using it to update ...

Mutchy: Do you use the timers? Suppose you set a timer to count up, and start from zero. You could force your CH9 to be -100 by adding an extra mix line: R -100% FULL switch(!SW16) and set switch 16 to be: CS16: v>ofs Tim1 0 Switch 16 is then OFF until the timer starts counting, then it is ON. Yes it uses most of the custom switches for 15 announcements but the application is unusual. Not many pilots want so many in a sequence. The principle of indexing using the "slow up" feature is universally useful though and can be used in the standard radio too. I have sent Mike another fo...
