Re: Software advice
why can't you attach a bin? If it won't let the file type upload just zip it up. In windows you can right click > send to > compressed file. It will compress it to a .zip and you should be able to upload that.

Yeah, I will have to update the guide with the new custom switches (AND) option.. The program is textaloud and the voice is julie.. For freeware you might want to try iSpeech. just google it.. It's quite decent.. Crucial, I didn't forget your PM, just been cleaning and organising my workshop and al...

Re: how do you deal with this?
Why are we getting dumber as our radios getting smarter? This seems like a knee jerk reaction to something that can be avoided with proper care. If you have a live model why are you speeding around the menus in the first place? It seems that with the fancier our radios get with more and more "s...

This is unfortunate if they have changed the rf module to have an unsafe behavior. I wonder what prompted the change.

I think we need you to start posting your eeprom files up so we can take a look at what you have setup. Are you using eepe or companion9x and do you know how to save your eeprom as a file with either of those programs? When you do that you can upload a copy of the file here and we can check it out t...

Is there a way to convert your old er9x models to ersky9x and upload them? I tried searching but I must not have the right search terms.
NM, I figured out you could do it with companion.

Check pages 31, 32 and 33 of this manual. It is for open 9x.

It describes the mixer menu and what the different settings mean.

Solder points look ok. Your program settings look ok other than a few weird spelling differences. Have you double checked the wires going into the plug on the other end of the soldered wires? For the first error when you tried to backup I'm guessing it was still the stock software and you clicked th...

I will try to make some audio files in 16bit first.
I also noticed some background static noise from the speaker while the unit is on and not outputting anything. It increases or decreases with the volume. Just wondering if that's normal.

I just got my sky9x board installed and loaded ersky9x on it. Is the sound list the same for er9x and ersky9x? Also, I am getting a sound like a CB mic cutting off after each file plays. Re: Need help setting up aux channels
You can check the results of the mix by looking at the display screen and watching the bar on channel 5. Please make sure you test the quad with props off! You could create a 3rd mix and make the weight 0 and switch ID1 but it's redundant. The Half setting on the other mixes make the channel output ...

Re: Need help setting up aux channels
On my naze32 I have the 3 way set for ID0 as -100, ID1 as 0 and ID2 as +100 The naze uses multiwii code so this translates into Low, Medium, High for the switch positions. To do this you would pick the channel you want the 3 pos to control and create 2 mixes on that channel. -100 HALF SWITCH(ID0) 10...

Re: Need help setting up aux channels
If you are looking to make a channel flip from -100 to +100 with a switch then yes you would set that channel to FULL and select the switch you want to control it. You can control the amount of movement by adjusting the weight.
HALF would make it move from -100 to 0 or 0 to +100.
HALF would make it move from -100 to 0 or 0 to +100.

Re: What do I need for telemetry on 9x w/ER9x
He did link to his guide. It is the second link to a pdf. The first link has 4 different guides provided by different people. The telemetry mod requires soldering to the stock board and possibly the frsky module depending on how you decide to do the mod. The level converter is used to convert the si...

Using FrSky module with Sky9x board
Quick question. I have my 9x modded so the 2 unused pins on the module socket transport the telemetry signals to the inside of the radio. I know I can just pipe these signals to the sky9x board for telemetry. My question is since I modified the frsky module by adding the 2 wires and resistor for the...

Re: something messed up...
That goes against the heart and soul of er9x. It was built to be super flexible. You may say it would make it easier by "limiting" I say it would be more difficult because you would lose the flexibility. Really with the new way of doing things Mode is a useless "feature" It is on...

Re: Sky9x Rotaty Encoder Option
Lets not jump to conclusions too soon. He obviously took the time to buy the raw board and cut them out. I don't see why he would then sit on them and not deliver. It's very possible he has been busy with work or maybe school or maybe some other kind of problem or emergency(lets hope not). Has there...
