Re: A few noted things....

Thanks for the replies... I need an email alert on this forum! S3 AND !SW1 !SW2 DOH..... how simple was that!!? Not much lateral thinking happened here it seems.... And, out of interest..... I did: S1 v>ofs P1 +30 S2 AND !SW1 !SW3 S3 v<ofs P1 -30 This also works. I was thinking the Custom Switch hei...

A few noted things....

1) The 3POS item in the Mixer list. It is way down the rear end of the list, after the CHs(?)... but would seem more appropriate to come up much earlier, after P3 - I forget exactly what item, but before the more 'less used' items (Ch1, PPM etc). I assume its position in a some 'table' can be moved,...

Other problems even without DR/Expo used at all.....

Note: I am only highlighting issues I found... not complaining!! LOL (Or ever!)
Who could "complain" about the fantastic job Mike etc is/are already doing anyway! It is just info about results found.

Re: er9x development

I Simulated the above in EEPE and got even odder results.... Firstly, I manually set +25 for Trim of RUD. ELE and AIL As soon as you simulate you get CH1 0.0, CH2 -9.8, Ch6 +4.9 Ch6 half of Ch2 ?? Why? Ch1 no offset at all on it Ch output, but has that +25 Trim In the Simulate main screen I can see ...

Re: er9x development

Next test. Coarse Trim. 4 Trim clicks each of left RUD, Left AIL, and UP Ele Trim Switch. Ch1: 24.3 -100 +100 (Mix of ELE then AIL) Ch2: -1.3 -100 +100 (INV ch) (Mix of ELE then AIL) Ch6: -3.4 -100 +100 (INV ch)(Mix of ELE only) Again the Ele mixed channels (2 & 6) came out different values. Ch1...

Auto Sub-trim

Can someone check if the Auto-Subtrim finction is working properly? After seeing some odd results, I did a test: I set mine to 10.0. Also set it to Extended Limits. I set all Limits to default ( 0, -100, +100) I then set some Trim values and then used a Trim Switch to trigger the trim centering - so...

Re: er9x development

Busy ER9X day today.... Should there also be a NOR function in Custom Switches? I had to make two extra Custom Switches to create that via more tests. Aim: A 3pos switch replacing a Pot (P3) Need to resolve for -100, 0, 100 values, to equate to the 3 positions. I use V<ofs P3 -50, v>ofs P3 50,..... ...

Re: er9x development

I noticed there is always this standard of "125%", 10% etc.... for the control signal values. When you talk about the base weight, like "Elevator stick weight of 100%" which means all 100% of the motion is passed through, that is fine enough. But when you talk about offsets and a...

Re: er9x development

I think I have the latest firmware version....
I went to edit a Model Name..... the pixels are displaced one column(?) rightwards or so. So the flashing cursor, of the letter you are editing, is not over the actual letter that is changing (the cursor is to the left).

Re: Issue with R788 (or even older?) ?

Oh! Thanks for that info on the stick/DR ability to adjust side to side, Mike. I am still investigating some oddities, but maybe they will all be due to calibration. I recalibrated all pots, but it is "too late" after... you still have to go and fix up all the values that got messed up whe...

Re: Issue with R788 (or even older?) ?

PS: jhsa You have to select HoldX and move the Rudder to the LEFT some amount, then hit the RUD D/R and you will see it. Move rudder to the right and there is no error. Oh.. and... in Simulate it is nor eally an 'error', it is just that one side moves and the other side doesn't - because its D/R val...

Re: Issue with R788 (or even older?) ?

Hmmm, I only edit stuff on the TX (Turnigy9X) But I can see the D/R imbalances as you outlined. So I guess those come from the non-calibrated sticks? Seeing as you can't actually manually alter left/right of D/R in the TX. I will re-calibrate it! I used to calibrate the sticks/pots after every firmw...

Re: Issue with R788 (or even older?) ?

I just checked the Ail and Ele Dual Rates... they also do it.
Stick lefts centred... switch DR and the output value moves a fraction in value (about that 2.9).

Issue with R788 (or even older?) ?

I was using the 'Rudder' switch today and noted an odd behaviour. The attached file has a "P-51 DuraB" check that..... (see the Simulate result down the bottom area of text). When I have RUD in the normal position, the Ch4 servo (as per the mix set in this model) has the servo at position ...

Re: Deleting an empty Model mid way in the list

I can't get it to work.
I can highlight a line, but from there you can't do anything of use.
If you Delete it, nothing happens as it was an empty slot already anyway.
You can't move Models anymore, so you can't bump them up to get rid of empty spots in the list.

Deleting an empty Model mid way in the list

You used to be able to Move models to new Model Locations, but for quite a while now (versions) that ability seemed to vanish.
How do you Move Models in the list now? Can you? (EEPE??)

Re: er9x development

I never use Pot scrolling... it is a bit clumsy. And really, more of a 'luxury' than necessity. 1k gives 5 extra models! That is much more use, seeing holding down a button for continual scrolling is almost as good as a scroller anyway.
So I would vote for the memory, rather than scrolling!

Re: ER9X - Channel "Slow" function

1) The 100 / 125 I mean is in the EEPE Simulate panel. It only goes to 100 on the slider, yet the value goes to the 125 max and the slider hits 100 and stops (of course) while then the value counter keep going to the 125. 2) Thank for that next idea Mike. I sort of saw how the Slow function would wo...

Re: ER9X - Channel "Slow" function

This is the 3POS version - setup on Ch1,6,11,12 (same thing for all) But each channe has the required LIMITS set, so the flaps are synchronised physically. Using CH16 as a Master did not help. It ran the same as if I had a curve on any individual channel - but at least if it DID work, it would save ...

Re: ER9X - Channel "Slow" function

Oh well, bad luck... I can't get both stages to match speeds accurately, but it is good enough... and does save memeory! Nice! I use the Limits to set the points required, and the Curve is a straight line..... maybe not even required (I'll have to test that... it is probably useless now!) But I see ...

Re: ER9X - Channel "Slow" function

Using this new 3POS there is no way to control the 'Slow' speed from point to point. Seeing flaps have, say, 0deg, 20deg, and 80deg, the distance from 20deg to 80deg is of course a lot more than the distance from 0deg to 20deg. But the Slow timer, feeding the 3POS, makes each of those moves take the...

Re: ER9X - Channel "Slow" function

Oh... more to do on this..... Because the geonetries of all 4 flaps are not identical, they all need specific limits/points set for those three positions. eg as per in that model I posted you will see that I set the limits to suit. But should I use the Limits for that purpose, or the Weights? Though...

Re: ER9X - Channel "Slow" function

Ok thanks I will check thaat out!!

I got the timings all linear with specifi slow values to suit. But it is vert wasteful memory-wise I would think.
So the 3POS idea should work better... I hope.

Re: ER9X - Channel "Slow" function

Hmmmm.... look what fixed it...... Firstly - making the first mix of ID0 into a Replace also, stopped the jump to +100% After that, any move TO ID1 was a jump, but all other moves were slowed correctly. Secondly - changing ID1 to be 100% instead of 0%, for the position desired, but putting -100% Off...

So I cannot assign 4 virtual channels, as there aren't enough to u...

Re: ER9X - Channel "Slow" function

That doesn't seem to really cover the reason. I am using full Replaces for each switch (ID0, ID1, ID2). And the move from ID1 to ID2 DOES move slow as expected. Why would that one work? And the jump to +100% on any move to ID0 is a value that is never even set anwhere - seeing they are Replaces. (th...

ER9X - Channel "Slow" function

What is the logic behind the channel Slow Up/Down function? What is it applied to? I have had, and posted, a 'weird' problem before. When I add the Slow function to a channel, and that channel is controlled by 3 switch positions (in this case at least).... Say: ID0 Replace -100% Slow 6sec ID1 Replac...

Re: "Dead Space" on the sticks?!

Thanks for that Mike. What sort of memory use would that take up? I guess you would need to do that for four channels, and the two CS's..... for every model. With Custom Switches... they are model specific? I wouldn't think people need more than two or so for a model, so maybe all CS's should be glo...
