Re: FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration 2015
That's the problem. I do know about those things 'cause our flying site lies in the outer rim of a control zone. We have an agreement with the airport for over 40 years and have the order to watch for manned aircrafts in order to fly at a very low level as long as a manned aircraft crosses our site....

Re: FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration 2015
AFAIK the big ones (here in Germany) should fly over 2500 ft. In some areas (e.g. near big airports) they are allowed to fly lower. We (model pilots) are not allowed to fly nearer than 1,5 km to an airport (without control zone) without permission. Concerning an airport with control zone you mustn't...

Re: Turnigy 9XR Pro & Orange Rx loses bind when switcing Models
The radio cannot "talk" to the Orange TX module at all (Orange module doesn't support that).
It (the PRO) only sends the PPM signal (which contains only servo positions) to the module.

Re: Channel values during splash screen?
Hi toto, first of all: the bug is to power the radio after powering the RX. ALWAYS power on the radio (TX) first. There are very little situations (e.g binding some TX/RX combintions) where this isn't so. In that cases it's a good idea to unplug engines ... Second: I can't tell you about v819 but th...

Buying a new one is the easier way ... But repairing the tracks could do the trick (if you are able to ;) ). No matter how you decide: Black wire to TX, white wire to RX of DHT. Concerning the two cut tracks on the 9X motherbord ... I think you can leave 'em alone. They are not necessary for 9XTreme...

... so you converted the telemetry signal back to RS232? ... Yes, I was not shure whether the level is 3.3V or 5V so the converter seemed to be the saver way ... When I look at Luke's picture it seems that not only the track is cut but also the via has gone... If the via is still present and OK the...

Hi João, I think it could be me ... I have a 2nd hand DHT from which the pre-owner removed the RS232 converter chip. I asked here whether this DHT could me hooked to COM2. But in the end I used something like this (I found it in my spare parts crate) to hook the DHT to COM1 (the black and white wire...

When you power on while holding the left horizontal trim outwards (to the left)
the hardware menu (and the EEProm menu (which is under construction))
will be enabled 'till next power off.
Edit: The EEPROM menu will give the option to save / restore the whole eeprom
content to/from SD card.

A propos addons: I recently fitted up one of my PROs with 2 TX modules. Internally a Spektrum DSM module and in the module bay a FrSky DHT. Re: FrSKY DHT module to 9Xtreme board connections
Usually you connect the DHT via the red (+), black (-) and yellow (ppm) wires.
Then you only need TxD (black wire from 9XT) and RxD (white wire from 9XT) of the telemetry port.
5V and GND of the telemetry port have to be left alone.

Up to 4.x there exist some launching programms that can read a HID joystick

Then I have indeed a problem somewhere around the LCD.
Both radios show exact the same reaction at startup except the LCD.
Backlight flashes red for very short time then turns to the color I have set in "Display" menu.
