Re: failure
R9 is a 0.1 Ohm current shunt ...to measure battery current , it will blow open in a short condition.
R9 is what you have shorted out.

Re: failure
Hi Revisit the link I gave you...there is a new drawing. R9 is a 0.1 Ohm current shunt ...to measure battery current , it will blow open in a short condition. There is a PMOSFET that shorts out the power switch , for soft power function. Look at the Sky9x board posts for a idea on the circuit diagra...

Refer to this diagram:
viewtopic.php?f=122&t=5659#p80407
There are spots labeled on the Main PCB near the 5V switching regulator pcb
as 0V , 5V , 3.3V
Are these at the correct voltage?
Does it work with the RF Module removed?

Re: 9XR-PRO Hacks and Fixes
Why not just just pull the wire from pin 1 on the LCD connector J15 and connect it to Pin 10 of J6
This will run the LEDs at the battery input voltage.

Re: 9XR-PRO Hacks and Fixes
The Pro board was designed using the stock 9XR hardware..they both use the same LCD , as far as I know.
The Backlight may have been changed , if there is a colour / brightness difference .

Re: 9XR Pro is Here
The ERASE signal is available at the SD-CARD pcb connection , left most, bottom corner solder connection on 14 pin header. (pin14)
It would be easy to tack a wire on here.
The audio disable may still be needed for EZUHF users....we will know soon enough?

Mike:
If the new 3 way switch is wired with 3.3V , signal , Gnd will it read correctly ?
I think for most people adding the 3rd wire is easier than adding a 1K resistor.

Re: 9XR Pro is Here
I think that if you open up the 4 mounting holes on the PCB a bit a and re position the board , the buttons should work.
A slight mis-alignment can cause things like this.

i have the 2.2K resistor on the wrong side of the switch
It should be like this .... (I have shown the bias resistors in the drawing they are already in the circuit.

Re: 9XR Pro Wiring Info Q&A
Brent, could you please have a look at the 6 position switch on your wiring diagram? Is it a 5 position switch? then there is a pin not connected? or it is like that because there wasn't enough space to put one more resistor? João The A/D input on this pin is biased at 1/2 VCC by two 2.2K resistors...

Re: 9XR Pro Wiring Info Q&A
Thanks Brent! Are pins 5 and 2 in the module bay pre-wired to serial rxd/txd? From this diagram it looks like pin 5 might be but pin 2 is NC? Pin 5 is wired to COM1 bi-directional serial port. Pin 2 is open . If you want to connect COM2 for internal use , then you need to remove the Pin2 wire (COM1...
