It means that the problem has been fixed in the code, and will be included in the next companion9x release.

Thomas9x also confirmed the new modules have more delay. They do the same as the microsd modules now.

Re: Splash into TX help.

In eepe, Burn -> set fuses to protect EEPROM.

Means your models and settings will be preserved when flashing a new firmware version, so that you don't have to backup before/restore after manually.

Re: pots and firmware

OK. The cap is fine as I removed it when testing yesterday, with no change. I also re-run the soldering iron on that pin and the surrounding ones with no change either. I built myself a firmware with VREF set as external and bridged AREF and AVCC externally, and while scaling is OK I get some cross-...

Re: pots and firmware

Not directly related, but while we're on the subject... I'm testing my m128 board, and as mentioned above I have a little issue with the analogs. My raw ADC readings would hit 0x7FE with sticks at about 80%. As it was the same on all channels I checked the common source, and found the AREF pin, whil...

Re: porting funkenschlag Datenschlag for multicopter aux

The protocol described here is much more flexible - not limited to digital switches, but allows to pass simple raw digital data to do just about anything. As the base unit for most protocols is a byte and encoding 8 bits in a single pulse is a bit too optimistic, it makes sense just sending only 4 a...

Re: Difference between D8R-II plus and the D8R-XP ???

I tested the new firmware on a D8R-XP only, not on a D8RII-Plus. But as far as a close inspection of the board can tell, they're strictrly identical. D8R-II only has a slight difference that wouldn't affect actual operation (just the battery voltage and divider on the center pins for A1/A2), so the ...

Can you also tell us what the 4-digit hex numbers next to the percentage are at both ends of the pots? I'm asking because I just modded a new radio last night, and on it all analog channels reach the end of their measurement range (0000 or 07FE) a little before actually getting to the end of the mec...

Re: gv9x?

Yep, the simulator in C9X only shows one set of popular options (frsky). Which is why Romolo mentioned the dedicated open9x simulator that you can build to match exactly the configuration you use on your radio.

The features from gv9x are actually being ported into open9x these days.

Re: rud, ele, thr, ail?

The most common are AETR (Futaba, stock 9x, most Asian-sourced radios) and TAER (JR, Spektrum, Graupner). There isn't one that's better than another though, they were only forced by the manufacturer. The templates will have that defined already, so if you load 2 templates made by different people th...

Re: gv9x?

The simulator is built with "make simu" followed by the options you'd normally use to build the flavor of the firmware you like (board type, extension, options...). This will create a "simu" executable in the folder that you can run. The limitation is that it's only available on ...

You can activate that MAX line with a custom switch, and set that custom switch to AND two physical switches or other conditions.

Re: No Failsave with open9x?

There are various solutions that work that way - but the problem is that most 2.4GHz links still output pulses when link is lost, unlike old PPM-based MHz systems. With the stock 9X RF, some channels do and some don't... so you'd have to know what you're doing and use it only on the correct channels.

Re: No Failsave with open9x?

OK. So the generic idea is that failsafe is handled by the RF module and receiver, not the radio. If your RF system supports failsafe, then look in its documentation to see how to configure it.
