Strange eepe/Companion9x issue?
It may be firmware r677 but.. latest eepe will download mixes from 2 SP equipped 9x's but the latest Companion9X give me an error. Both programs download the TX's firmware. I've reinstalled the latest.34 companion with no help. After upgrading the TX FW to r677 from r666 I was able to download the m...

Re: Help with a 9X presentation name?
Are you doing a powerpoint presentation? It's a good idea to post it here to help others who would like to present at their clubs. Remember, the more people we get on board the more programmers, designers, testers and helpers we have! I hope to do power point but I'm trying to come up what will mak...

Thanks Rob, cr8tive_leo, and jsha for the ideas. I like 'ER9X - EXPANDING POSSIBILITIES' if that's OK with all the persons that made it possible.rob.thomson wrote:I personally like 'ER9X - EXPANDING POSSIBILITIES'

Help with a 9X presentation name?
I've been asked to give a talk on the 9x and upgrade options to several clubs. I've been asked for a name of my presentation that can be put into their newsletter announcing it. It will be 20 min or so, or shorter if I see eyes glassing over thinking about the donut and coffee break ha ha. I want t...

I never was able to find this info with searches so now we have it.
From what I did find I'm certain that the other color leds draw the same current. Worse cases a few Ma. differant.

Re: hk backlight mod
The difference in current consumption may be caused be a change in design. I have a graphic display from a different manufacturer that has a LED backlight. This is composed of 78 separate LEDs in an array covering the area to be illuminated. This backlight does consume a high current (100mA). I als...

Re: hk backlight mod
I think somebody should update/correct the wiki. The Backlight mod part is totally false information. The HK backlight draws much LESS current, not more than the EL panel. The HobbyKing listing shows current draw as 60-90 mA, which is indeed far more than the EL panel. If this is wrong, say so in a...

Hobbico Any-Link 2.4 module
Another option to add to the 9x er9x? Free with planes I'm reading or $24.95 from Tower. Plug it into the trainer out, bind it wirh Hobbico planes and fly. I can see the future 9x with the original 35/72 mhz antenna, a flySky, frsky, spektrum, and now a Hobbico Any-Link antenna on the case. I'm sure...

Re: Frsky Alerts - Speaker Mod
Mike, some alarm vibrate info feedback. I set my A2 Lipo alarm to vibrate (yellow) at 11 v and siren and fast vibrate at 10.7v. It all works but as the voltage goes from 11 down to 10.7 both alarms are active causing some mix of actions to be expected. When I back off the motor and the voltages clim...

Re: Antenna placement.
Just remember, the receiver antenna also comes into play. Generally every 3dB in RF terms is double, but double signal does not translate to double distance. The antenna labeling refers to receive gain, and a better antenna does not increase the power from the module. The module still only send 100...

Re: mount usbasp internally and use usb plug to charge radio
I believe the charge jack comes wire as a Futaba with rhe center pin plus(+) and the barrel minus(-). There is a diode in line to protect it if the polarity is wrong. I fly all JR and Spektrum so I flipped the wires on the jack to be the same as JR. I'm using the HK 1500ma life battery and charge us...

The AMA safety code reads “I will not fly my model aircraft higher than approximately 400 feet above ground level, when within three (3) miles of an airport without notifying the airport operator. " The last thing I want to do is start an argument about safe flying. But not only do we have the...

Great on the 400ft alarm feature soon. What are the limits in other countries? I hope others agree that it can't hurt to know when your over the limit at least near large airports? I think I'm going to take a speaker from an audio BDay card and use it since it's so small, loud as mentioned by others. How do you and Rob find the time in the first place Mike? Ok on the button display. It's OK I just wanted to note that for a first timer it doesn't stand out as a feature. Mentioning it in the help menu later will help those that read it if it's needed. Anti shake option?
I'm blessed so far and don't shake. It's not an age thing so much anymore and I'm seeing it at the field in some young adults as well as seniors. I think that why high end cameras have added shake compensation even if they don't have long leses. For telephoto lenses it's a must have option usually. ...
