After you check the box you need to download that firmware and flash it to the transmitter.
Did you do that?

It is still there.
Look under Special Functions.
There is Background Music and Background Music Pause.
It is way down the list, so scroll down to see it.

Re: Save telemetry simulator settings
I don't believe you can save one from within the simulator, I could be wrong. However,If you logged a flight you can load and replay it. From the LOGS, or anywhere else. Since Log files are easy to read, edit and save in OpenOffice, or Microsoft Office or similar spreadsheet programs, you could make...

Re: No throttle
Two viable candidates are
Bad calibration of throttle channel
and
Maybe you gave a throttle cut set on a new model.
The easiest way to get help is probably to post your .otx so someone can see if there is a setup error.

Re: LUA script question
I did try it. There has to be a buffer or stack to queue up the sounds to be played. If you overflow it you will lose some of the queued files. But the buffer/stack will still be played for whatever is in the queue. Since it takes much longer the 30+- MILLISECONDS to play the sound file, the sounds ...

Re: LUA script question
I think you are dropping in a new playFile every approximately 30 milliseconds. Much faster than the .wav can play. Change the 900 playFile to a print statement and watch the debug output in the simulator full up with printed output. I'm sure you know that the elev goes from -1024 to +1024. I would ...

Re: Upgrade a new Taranis X9D? Please explain reasons.
In the past FrSky has taken a copy of the source for OpenTx and made a version that the OpenTx developers did not consider ready for release made some changes and shipped it with new transmitters. They did not provide any release notes or even the exact date that they took the source. This made it s...

Failure to save is not a message I've seen. Are you sure that is the exact wording? Click on the File tab then Save As in the drop down menu. then get pointed to a Folder and add a name to save it with. But doing it on the Tx makes sure you could modify it at the flying field.... most likely change ...

(I assume by barndoor you mean flaps at essentially 90 degrees down to the wing chord.) But if you already getting 100 on your channel monitor for 'normal' down flaps, you can't get more unless change the OUTPUTS line for that mix. This may stress your servo...even to the point of stripping gears. I...

Re: Mixing elevator to left and right aileron
|x|is the absolute value of the source, Ail.
So basically no matter which way you move ail, you get a positive value.
It acts likes a 'curve' of 3 values, y = +100, 0, +100.

Even if you want to do all programming on your Tx, using Companion with its simulator to see if what you think needs to be done has the correct effect is easier for many. Re: OpenTx memory value special function
The replace Mix line takes 100% of the channel that is controlled by the throttle stick at the TIME you put SWy up.
So that channel is held at the value until you put the switch down.
Then the channel will jump to where the stick is presently positioned.

Re: Radio and model duplication help!
First you do not have to upgrade if both transmitters are on the same firmware. Companion for 2.1.x is available at https://www.open-tx.org/2016/09/15/opentx-2.1.9 But if one tx is old and one is new, they may not be on the same firmware. You must confirm that they are both at the same level of firm...

Re: Radio and model duplication help!
The first thing to get in your mind is that the transmitters calibration data is stored in the .otx file that contains all the models on each transmitter. So you cannot just read the models form one tx into Companion and write it out to a second transmitter and have a working second tx. I'll assume ...

1, 2, and 3 are correct, if you imagine when you connect your tx pops a menu and asks you to select Joystick or Mass Storage. I think 3 only allows you to see SD, but you can write firmware with the correct USB driver...?? I've only used it to manipulate the SD card contents 4. I also have no idea, ...

Re: Radio and model duplication help!
You can not duplicate all settings if you include Calibration as a 'setting'. It is not possible for 1 transmitter(tx) to be a duplicate of another in that the RF modules, which are not part of OpenTx, have distinct ids that make them unique. So to switch from one tx to control a model the other tx ...

Re: Taranis X9D FW upgrade
Yes the firmware upgrade is very doable. I have a very early X9D and have it running 2.2.2. What exactly is the problem? If it is running the lua script, I think you need to upgrade to 2.2.2, but have never tried. But for just sending outputs to control the S6R, I think you could do that with 2.1.9....

Re: X9D Firmware
Your receivers must match the RF module of your X9D, EU or Rest Of World (ROW). But the firmware in OpenTx does not care whether it is Eu or ROW. The RF module does not change with OpenTx firmware changes. My understanding is using ROW OpenTx firmware allows you to use D8 receivers. EU firmware may ...
