Re: Voice setup for APM 6 Modes with Ail D/R and Aux3 Way Switch

Create your 6 voice files with filenames of Fmode0.wav, Fmode1.wav ... Fmode5.wav.
Set up a voice alert with the trigger set to ALL and the switch set to Fmd (last option).
Set the file type to "name" and the filename to "Fmode0".

Did you install the "Multi 4-in-1 STM32 Board" from the Boards manager?
Did you select the correct board, programmer and upload method from the tools menu.

Re: FrSky alt sensor

I'll see if I can check it is OK with the multiprotocol module, I certainly had that setup working with a DJT in a 9X. You might try creating a raw log file, and posting it so I can see what you are receiving. RSSI, A1 and A2 are handled differently in the module to the user data on the serial port ...

Re: 4-IN-1 Multi-protocol STM32 - Failsafe issue

Try inverting the telemetry signal. Go to the Telemetry menu and find "Com Port Invert". If the value is NONE, change to it to 1, and if it is 1 change it to NONE. Then see if you get the firmware version on the protocol menu.

From the main display, go UP LONG, then LEFT a few times to the DEBUG display. Is the number to the right of "TelRxCount" changing?

Re: 4-IN-1 Multi-protocol STM32 - Failsafe issue

The module revision is on the protocol menu, beside the "BIND" option.
Failsafe support in the multiprotocol module is a fairly recent update (Dec 2017).

Re: 4-IN-1 Multi-protocol STM32 - Failsafe issue

Do you have telemetry operating. Firmware on the Multiprotocol module will report its revision, even if you don't have any actual telemetry.
Depending on the firmware in the module, you may be able to update the firmware directly from the radio.

Re: POTS bar graph messed-up ?!?!

The display originates from the original 9X radio where two pots are vertically on the top of the radio and the third one is on the front. The 9XR/9XR-PRO have physically moved the top two pots so all three are almost in a line. The er9x firmware for the 9X and 9XR is exactly the same for both radio...

Re: FrSky alt sensor

You may have a problem with the polarity of the telemetry data, depending on the options chosen in the multi module. From the main screen, go UP LONG, then RIGHT about 7 times to the "DEBUG" display. At the bottom of the screen is "TelRxCount". This is a running total of the bytes received from the ...

I now seem to have 2 extra pots fully working on my QX7 with ersky9x. I've still to post the firmware, and would ad...

Try this.
It seems Companion (2.2.1) doesn't have an option to save just the model!
Open this .otx file in Companion and drag and drop the model into the otx read from your radio.

Re: Arduino - Extend the number of servos supported by a Rx

The '85 could work. Compared to a Pro Mini, it doesn't have a full UART, only the USI and you will also need to consider whether you are using the internal oscillator or a crystal, and adjust the serial timing if using the internal oscillator.

Re: FrSky alt sensor

I assumed from the reference to A2 you were trying to get the vertical speed reported. For the altitude, you need to connect the Data Out port on the Vario to the serial port on the receiver ("D" type Rx). I assume you are using a 9XR-PRO (from the thread we are in), what Tx module are you using? Mike

The 9XR-PRO is basically the same circuit as the SKY board for the 9X. The schematic of the SKY board is in this post: http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic ... pdf#p28055.

Re: 9xr pro rf deck

R9 is definitely in series with the MOSFET (Q2) not in parallel. U1 is the measurement IC that is in parallel with R9.
The resistor will handle 1.5A. THe power in the resistor would then be 1.5*1.5*0.1 (I squared R) = .225W, which is less that 1/4 W.

Re: FrSky alt sensor

I assume this is for the Vario, rather than altitude. First, go to "Model Setup", select Telemetry, then "Vario" from the popup. Set the Source to A2. Select a switch to enable the vario tones. You may then need to adjust the sensitivity value to quite a large value e.g. 50 to get a good response. M...

Re: 9xr pro rf deck

Q2 is a SI2319CDS-T1-GE3
R9, that may be blown, is a 0.1R 1% 1/4W.
R9, which is a current sense resistor, usually goes before anything else. It is safe to simply replace it with a wire, you only lose the radio current measurment. It is in series with Q2, so Q2 may be OK.

Re: Newbie help, servos won't travel past ~50%

You just need the LUA script that is available to run on the Tx to be able to configure the S8R.
Since I develop and use ersky9x firmware, rather than openTx, I'm not certain from where you obtain the script.

Re: Newbie help, servos won't travel past ~50%

Do you have any means of configuring the parameters for the S8R? You need either a STK device to plug into your computer, together with the configuration program, or you need to run the LUA script that configures the S8R "over the air". Unless you have configured channels 10 and/or 11, then the S8R ...

Do you still have a RSSI reading at 150 paces? Do you also have any other telemetry, e.g. Rx battery voltage?
It may be the Rx is receiving OK, but is not transmitting the telemetry (including RSSI) very well.

OK, so I wasn't quite right, try:
CH17 S2 Weight(50%) Offset(50%)
* 100% Thr Curve(c1) (MULTIPLY mix)
Curve 1 (a 5 point curve) set to 100, 100, 66, 33, 0

CH4: CH17 Weight(200%) Offset(-100%)
CH5: CH17 Weight(200%) Offset(-100%)
