Taranis QX7 Switch Problem

I have version b7 on my X7 and don't see any problem with those two switches, at least when using them as sources of mixes. Can you be more specific about what you did that didn't work. By the way, I took it out for its first outdoor flights today. I used a MultiOrange module with Lemon Stabilizer P...

Re: Taranis: Set up Rudder & Nose gear Mixing

But the gear channel (5) is already taken for the retracts. That's why I suggested channel 6 for nosewheel steering.

So if channel 6 drives the nose gear steering servo, it would look like:

What are you using by way of sensors? The receiver itself can at most provide RSSI and receiver voltage,

9xr Pro not connecting to PC

Use ErSky9x on 9XR Pro. It was developed to support this transmitter and continues to get close support. It is actively developed.

For the 9XR Pro you need ersky9xr_rom.bin. You're missing an "r".

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

Hi Mike Success! I flashed the .bin file you provided to my 9XR Pro (with latest ErSky9x version) and everything works as it should, including auto recognition of the receiver type. Then I retraced my steps in the flashing attempt and found a really dumb mix-up. So my .bin file was good too. All in ...

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

Hi Mike As you suggested the issue was with the path. Eventually I followed a suggestion by jj604 and stuck the files in the root of C:\. The result was finally a .bin file. Unfortunately it didn't work, but a least I have all the steps sorted out. So I'll go back to square one and retrace my steps....

Limited Servo Movement?

I have two basic approaches. If the model uses Spektrum standards -- that is its electronics are DSM and control setups are built around 100% = 1100-1900uS -- I have a standard template which emulates a DX4e and I use that as a starting point for programming. It has TAER channel order, channel 5 is ...

Re: Limited Servo Movement?

There's your answer to why use Limits. Yes, Weight will do the same thing -- until you introduce other issues. There's a good reason why Limits are called Limits. They do what the name suggests. :)

Re: Limited Servo Movement?

Sounds like you do have a flight controller and it needs Spektrum pulse widths (1100 to 1900us for +/-100%). So reducing limits to 80% (or more precisely 78%) is the right thing to do. What's apparently happening is that the FC only accepts 1100 to 1900, while the 9XR Pro at 100% is putting out 1000...

Re: Limited Servo Movement?

Are the bars moving normally the full amount? In other words, is the problem in the transmitter? Next the servos. Which HK servos are we talking ...

MULTIPROTOCOL TX MODULE with antenna

Those tiny holes in the case are much too small. The pins don't need close support at all. I would just open up the holes as needed or even make a slot to allow the pins to find their way into the socket.

Re: Looking for a Taranis programmer to look at my model setup

Servos were only moving 90° with all set at 100%. Figured out how to solve the movement issue. Checked off extended limits and was able to extend the limits in output and get the full movement of the servo. Thanks to another Taranis user. "0nly moving 90 degrees"? That IS full movement in any norma...

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

You need to use the option in the "sketch" menu to "Export compiled binary" to get the .hex file in your working directory, then start a command window to enter the avr-objcopy command. That's exactly where I get stuck. I've compiled the hex file. Are we talking about a Windows Command Prompt? That...

Not worth making a cable. An audio cable can be purchased for $5 or so at an electronics store. A mono cable is preferable, as some transmitters don't work properly with stereo.

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

Hi Mike
Does this look anything like what's need as the basis for a MultiOrange .bin file?
All I'm trying to to is change the Channel Order to TAER! (And leave out unnecessary protocols -- I'm only interest in DSM.)

Thanks very much, Mike. I wondered about that. There's no great rush but it would be very useful to have a version that accepts TAER input, thus removing one more source of confusion.

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

I went into Arduino and found the configuration file. I commented out most protocols and set it to TAER and serial. I tested the result and it indicated that it would compile OK. That's where I get stuck. I saved the result as MultiTAER but am not sure which of the files to use. Am I on the right tr...
