Hi Mike, Sorry for the late reply.
I do have telemetry via a 3dr telemetry setup. Its a usb over the air setup that does not go through the radio. It is only show in the mission planner software. That shows also the flight mode but I was hoping to not require the laptop for normal fun flying.

Thanks Mike, its working great. If only we could have all six flight mode it would be perfect !! Oh well, can't have it all.

Re: Is there anyway to show flight modes on the main screen ?
We can only have 4, named modes. Try: L1 v>val CH5 1230 L2 v<val CH5 1360 AND L1 then use L2 to enable flight mode 1 and set the name to "Loiter" Repeat with more pairs of logical switches for the other 3 modes you may name. Mike I tried setting the logic switch values but they only go to...

Re: RE: Re: Is there anyway to show flight modes on the main screen ?
You will need to create some logical switches that are based on the channel 5 output, so one is on for each flight mode. Then set up the flight modes so each is enabled by the appropriate logical switch. What is your channel 5 output for each of your flight modes? Mike Channel5 output is as follows...

Re: Is there anyway to show flight modes on the main screen ?
one more question. In my setup using ardupilot I have set channel 5 of the receiver to control the flight mode of the ardupilot. Channel 5 is controlled using a 6 position rotary switch on the radio. How can I make this 6 position rotary switch also change the flight mode txt on the main screen on m...

Wow, thanks. Keeping finger crossed.
Is there hope to get full 6 flight modes displayed ? I have a rotary switch the has 6 positions to set flight mode on my arducopter based drone.

Is there anyway to show flight modes on the main screen ?
Hi
I have setup my Turnigy 9X to have a six position flight mode switch. Is there any way to show the current flight mode (ex. loiter, guided.e.t.c.) selected on the main screen of a ER9x flashed unit ?

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Thanks a million Mike.
So I just burn the bootloader and then the firmware as per the instructions in beginning of the thread and I'm all set ?
After burning the firmware will the unit start talking by itself or do I have to invoke it somehow ?

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
How can I load it into the arduino IDE since the IDE only loads files with .ino or .pde extensions?
I tried renaming amod328.c to amod328.ino. It loads into the IDE but I get a lot of compile errors.

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
I found elsewhere in this thread a version with a test option that mike posted so you can test arduvoice without needing to connect to the radio. The version needs compiling with the test option enabled. Can anyone help out on this and compile it for me? I have no idea how to do it. here is the link...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
As I mentioned in my previous post, I will be making a pcb that has all the parts included. The SD card will be connected to the arduino via a logic level converter. while designing a pcb I decided to include the SD card holder on it and not use a separate sd card module.
Will this work with micro SD cards and what size card is required ?

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Hi
Is Arduvoice based on an arduino with a mega164 or a mega328 chip ?
I'm trying to make a pcb and I'm sourcing the required parts.
And one more question. Is the bootloader a common arduino optiboot bootloader or something specially designed for arduvoice ?

So considering the fact that my radio uses er9x firmare it is doable with 2 RF units. How would I go about connecting them? Is there a how to somewhere?

Re: Turnigy 9X 9Ch / 16 channels?
Hi guys. I have replaced the original RF unit with a djt module and a new compatible receiver on my 9X radio. This gives me 8 channels. Is there anyway the I can use the original RF module and the stock receiver so I can add a few more channels to my 9x radio?

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
In order to test arduvoice without connecting it to the radio I was thinking of hooking it up to an arduino and sending it commands so it can speak. Is there somewhere that I can find the commands required to be sent over the serial bus that will make the unit talk?

One more maybe silly question. I was reading on how to burn the firmware into the module and it says that the two horizontal trims should be held towards the centre. Are these the small buttons under the gimbals that are used to trim the gimbals during flight ?
