Re: Flashing original software back on Tgy9XR

Ok, the 2 9X's have arrived, tried the IA8 receivers with an original 9XR transmitter, and yes both work with th 9XR running original software! The tx had a later module installed.
Anybody got an explanation?
Also any thoughts on how to reverse flash the tx from er9x back to original? Is it possible?

Re: Flashing original software back on Tgy9XR

about to reflash the original software back onto a 9XR, I assume it can be done, but what order, eeprom or firmware first?

Re: 9XR Pro probs

No , the model was created on the radio. I suppose it could be that at the sailing competition last Sunday someone had been 'fiddling' with the radio as all the models taking part were on display for the public to look at, and the radios were at the side of the respective models, there being a perio...

Re: 9XR Pro probs

Ok, having just spent an hour fiddling with the tx etc I setup another model with the same mix and characteristics as the problematic one, and with some changes to the +ve and -ve aspects of the two mix channels its all working fine again. I then returned to the original problematic model, re instal...

Re: 9XR Pro probs

Ok, I installed a v tail mix, configured the tx so that the mix was on the left hand stick. Hooked up the motors and speed controllers to the relevant channels on the rx, the props are, when viewed from back of the boat, left turning on right hand side and right turning on left hand side, cannot rem...

Re: 9XR Pro probs

Ok, another problem cropped up yesterday whilst sailing the boat in my avatar. The boat has 2 propulsion motors, the are mixed with the V-tail mix, these channels are then setup on the L H gimbal for ease of control. It has worked well like this for a long time, yesterday the straight up/down stick ...

Ok, can't read flash memory, its telling me to try a later version, think the version I have is the latest. I have an old m/board from an earlier version, i'll piggy back it with all the plugs transferred and give that a go!

Re: Turnigy 9X AFHDS 2A system

Ok another day another problem, just bought a blank screened 9X off Leboncoin, didn't pay a lot for it. Switching on, no display, installed a S/P basic board, reset fuses to protect eeprom, it took that instruction apparently, tried to flash stock AFHDS 2A firmware, it ran thro' the motions, but aft...

Re: Turnigy 9X AFHDS 2A system

BUMP!!!

Ok, so should I give it a go and reflash a copy of the eeprom file from a similar Tx? Will it compromise the tx if it doesn't work?If it didn't, I would then try flashing ER9X and use an Orange module, as 6 channel rx's are currently around £3.50 on H/king!

Re: Turnigy 9x for car/boat - will it work?

expect so, perhaps thin grease or a mix of thick oil and grease in the prop tube and the rudder tube might be enough, time will tell

Re: Turnigy 9x for car/boat - will it work?

probably ok,, dependant upon size and likely waves. Another problem would be salt and its effects on the metal components, you could of course use stainless steel for them, but would probably have to be made 'in house' otherwise quite expensive. A yacht would be fine though.

Re: Turnigy9x flashed with er9x trying to bind to new receivers

Ok the 9X has a Turnigy 2.4ghz module mounted with fixed antenna, RF 9X V2
The receiver is an AFHDS 2A 6 channel FS-IA6B
Also have a 9XR with aTurnigy DSSS module fitted maybe that would work with relevant programming!

Ok, now received a connecting cable to link a pc to the FS-I6 with a download from GitHub.com a simple flashing job, did 4 boxes 15 mins max! 10 channels available after a little system reprogramming. It is also possible to reprog the tx to work with the old turnigy/eurgle/flysky etc V2 receivers - ...
