Sky9X to Taranis Conversion
So I finally managed to get a hold of my friends beloved 9X long enough to back the thing up. I'm converting the models over to Taranis, and of course the switches have different names etc. This generates an error message during conversion, along with a list of the problematic settings, which are in...

Re: Taranis 2019 seems like a downgrade...
I'll have to see what the benefits of ACCESS are. My SE has the bluetooth trainer, but it's only any good with another of the same. I do like the extra momentary, but it's in an awkward position, and I have already swapped my momentary to the left side and replaced it with a button. It's a shame sin...

Taranis 2019 seems like a downgrade...
I bought the 2019 SE, I wanted the Hall Effect gimbals, and I was drawn to the scroll wheel. Since I got it, I'm still using my old Taranis. I haven't seen anything exciting that the new radio can do. Here's what I'm lacking though: 1: No D8 Mode I have a lot of planes on this, and I don't look forw...

Wanted: SKY9X board
Mine is still working great, but I can't deal with the ergonomics of the 9xr. I really need another board for my friends 9x so I can get him up to speed.

Re: Installing OpenTX 2.0+ on Sky9X board
That's great. I'l give it a try later today. Either way, I'm just happy to have a working solution right now. I may switch back to ersky9x at some point. I needed a lot of the extra features, but ersky9x has really caught up, and surpassed in some areas. But, I think I've messed with the radio enoug...

Re: Installing OpenTX 2.0+ on Sky9X board
Aha! Thank you! Yes, mass storage works in the bootloader. I was coming from versions so old they didn't have the bootloader mode, and OpenTX had previously had mass storage mode in the main section after bootup. Works perfectly now. I should be able to cope nicely until the next openTX update. For ...

Re: Installing OpenTX 2.0+ on Sky9X board
Can somebody share a version of 2.0.5 or the new bootloader so I can get working? I ended up installing ersky9x, and then using bootloader mode from there to flash 2.0.12, and it's working, but I seem to have lost mass storage mode? Is there something different I should be doing? Or should I just ha...

Clark,
I'm sure he didn't mean to belittle your problem. He just meant that you're posting it in the wrong place.
This thread is specifically about trouble getting 2.0.12 installed on a sky9x board in the first place. We haven't had a chance yet to worry about how it behaves once installed...

For me, no.
Nothing gets installed, blank screen even with boatloader switches held.
In fact, the computer doesn't even recognize it as a USB device until after the reset.

Installing OpenTX 2.0+ on Sky9X board
Hi, I've been happily running some old version of OpenTX on my Sky9X board since mid last-year. I got the bright idea of upgrading to the latest version, so I downloaded CompanionTX, and V2.0.12 for Sky9X board, and sent it via SAM-BA. Well, that bricked the radio. So, I opened it up, jumpered the e...

No answers I'm afraid, but I'm watching this as i have plenty of resistors and arduino, but no crystals etc. This seems like a very simple and cheap way of putting this all together.

Re: Count down glitch on 10 seconds.
I made a short double-beep sound and put that in place of timer10.wav. Now there is some distinction between the last 10 and the below 0 sounds. That will have to do for now.

Re: openTX-r2491
I skipped the previous version (r2413), so I don't know how new this is, but I'm having two sound related problems. I'm on a Sky9x RevB board. First, all my sounds that I made made myself stopped working. They had been 22khz, 16bit PCM. I made them into uLaw, but that didn't fix it. Had to convert a...

Re: Does OpenTX support timer up + beep
I haven't tested this, but it should be possible to do with a custom switch. Set the switch to timer > 8:00, with a limited duration, and then use that switch to play a sound. Just tested, and it works! I had to set another switch to < time, and use AND so the beeping would stop at a set time as well.

I have the same interest. I have the v999, which has the grappling hook, I'd love to be able to raise and lower the hook from my real transmitter.

Hey Everybody,
I put up an incredibly crappy webpage to allow folks to order the V2 PCB's. Just make sure to put your forum name in the order somewhere so I can PM you when everything ships.

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Sky9x Rotaty Encoder Option
Okay, fine. I'll make another batch of boards. I won't be able to order encoders or pins unfortunately, as organizing that is what slowed down so many shipments last time. I have another question. Is there a definitive fix on the sky9x board for the encoder speed issue? There was talk of changing or...

Oh. To have a count up timer start at first throttle advance, and that can be manually stopped when the flight is over.

Re: Help. My splash screen has disappeared.
? Open9x has the THt mode (starts when throttle is advanced, never stops), and THs (starts when throttle is advanced and stops again when it's back to 0). This is available for both timers, and on all boards. Exactly. It starts on first throttle advance, but never stops. Or, it only runs when the t...

Re: Help. My splash screen has disappeared.
I guess I'll take this one at a time. First,I had a look at the ANA screen. The numbers are fluctuating about 2 values when the backlight is on (ie. 03F4-03F2, etc) for the most part, this isn't enough to change the corresponding whole number values. When the backlight is off, the numbers are of cou...

Re: Help. My splash screen has disappeared.
Thanks Kilrah, I'll have a look at that tomorrow. I'm expecting to see some wiggle. I'm just wondering why it's more now than when it was new. Do you know what the actual movement threshold is to skip the splash at startup? Jhsa, I made a new eeprom, and the splash screen returned until I set the ba...

Re: Help. My splash screen has disappeared.
Okay. I've narrowed it down. I can reproduce the problem reliably now, but I can't quite explain it. It's the backlight. Whenever the backlight is on during startup, the splash is skipped. It's actually the light, and not the setting. I went all the way back to r753 and it doesn't have the problem (...

Help. My splash screen has disappeared.
I upgraded to r776 a while back, and noticed that I wasn't seeing my splash anymore. I checked the settings. It was turned on. I figured it was a bug and today installed r777. Here's where it gets weird. I flashed, and the splash was there. Sigh of relief. Then,I restored my eeprom and it was gone a...
