Re: Receive 9xtreme and Installation

Ersky9x was actually the first open source firmware to support the multimodule via serial :) If you have the PRO radio, you are probably using Ersky9x?? The stock DJT does not use pin number 5 of the module bay, that is why you need the other wire for telemetry on the PRO. Both the XJT and the Multi...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

I didn't try it yet, but that will most likely work. Although this solution works, it is much less intuitive to newcomers to ersky9x than an OFF option that they / we can see.. One of the many great positive aspects of Ersky9x and Er9x is that it did become much more intuitive and user friendly on n...

I use mainly the D protocol.
I believe there were some X receivers going bad some time ago. Maybe that is why I feel that the D system is more reliable..

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

PA25 will appear as an extra switch source (but you don't want it yet as you don't want to mod your radios  ). Please note that when I mentioned the extra switch I said "We" not "I" But yeah, I'd prefer to mod my radios when the season is over. You know me, I will probably change...

Re: Protocol PPM ????

All 9x and 9XR-PRO radios with Ersky9x installed can have an RF module installed internally. This is the INTERNAL option. If you didn't install a module internally, and use the normal RF module bay on the back of the radio, use the EXTERNAL option.. When you program a new model, you have to activate...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Ok, but if we don't care about the heartbeat signal, can we continue to use PB14 as usual? If you make the other pin available as a switch, maybe we could have even one more switch / Push button on our radios? :) Really, I would rather not having to mod my radio's if possible, specially not now that...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Mike, that would mean losing the switch if I used an XJT with that model. :( If I had to choose between the extra switch and less latency, I would still prefer to have the switch. I think the best option is what you currently did. If that pin is selected as a switch, it won't show up on the protocol...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Something just came to my mind, if someone used the pin for a switch, and turn that option ON, he/she might think that got less latency when nothing really happened. So, perhaps some kind of popup warning?

Mike, could you please make it that the heartbeat is only used on PB14 if the pin is not in use for a switch? I use that pin for extra switched I think, need to check, and I don't know what would happen if I turned that option on by mistake.. Perhaps an.activation option in the hardware menu? Bob, e...

As an alternative, you should be able to set up logical switches like:
v=val Fmd 2
which gives a logical switch that is on if Flight mode 2 is selected.

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio

So are you saying with the m64 that since not enough room for bootloader and er9x that er9x has to go and reflash original firmware to use the voice mod? No, not at all, there is a special version of Er9x on m64 that supports this serial voice module. What I said is that due to the low capacity of ...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio

The motherboard seem to be the same as always.... it has the m64 chip which has a few limitations as it doesn't have much flash and eeprom space.. The 9XR-PRO has completely different hardware. This m64 chip doesn't have enough space for a bootloader and er9x. The bootloader I mentioned is for the a...

Hi and thanks for the reply. Already have the ER9x-r820 installed on the 9x. Re: POTS bar graph messed-up ?!?!

The screen has always shown from left to right P1, P2, and P3. For this to be changed in a good way, the name of the pots themselves should be changed accordingly to match the screen. Then everything would match.. But that would mean having to re-program all the models using pots, as well as volume ...

Re: POTS bar graph messed-up ?!?!

That is absolutely correct. Middle pot is Pot number 1, Right Pot is number 2 and left pot is number 3. If you haven't noticed, the middle and right pots are higher than the left pot. Therefore it starts counting from the middle pot. As you know, ersky9x was originally developed for the 9x radios, a...

From what I've read you can daisy-chain them at will with other S.BUS modules, although I don't know anything about what other telemetry I might want. I'm not even sure what S.BUS is, there's just so much to read up I believe you mean S.PORT, not SBUS? S.PORT is the Frsky telemetry system. SBUS is ...

Re: Automatic flaps up struggling

As a former light aircraft pilot myself I know that throttle does not equal airspeed :) You can stall the aircraft at full throttle :) So, I do think flaps shouldn't be set according to the throttle position. An airspeed sensor would be a different story though.. Better yet, an AOA sensor :) Still, ...
