Re: OpenTX on Arduino

Up to you :) Good luck.. It is a lot of work.

OpenTX and Ersky9x have years of constant development.
If you base your project on one of them, please don't forget to give credit to the developers

Re: OpenTX on Arduino

You do not understand what Mike is trying to say, which is: BOTH OpenTX AND Ersky9x ALREADY DO all that PLUS MUCH MORE.. I for example, have 4 push buttons on the back of most of my radios, I have Ersky9x installed, and I assign them to whatever I want or need. I am even able to automate stuff with ...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Mike, I think the protocol menu might need some improvement. It is not the first time that I change the settings for one of the modules thinking I have changed the setting for the other. Today it happened again. You have just fixed the problem with multi, that wouldn't work on the internal protocol ...

Re: FrSky M9 gimbals in a 9x - photos (traffic!)

I just looked and don't see an obvious menu entry in radio setup to switch gimbal direction, but I'm also using an older build ("radio setup" -hold left at home screen to enter) First of all, what firmware is installed on the ar9x board? Ersky9x or OpenTX? I do have some M9's sitting here waiting t...

Re: Throttle warning on different switch

Can't you change the channel source to a channel in openTX?

João

EDIT: Oh, I see, it might react to the input, not to the channel output itself.. :(
Then I'm afraid you are stuck :)

Re: Ersky9x Feature Requests

Screen on 9x radio is not big enough to display 2 decimals, unless you have a single cell battery. I think this is mainly why the firmware displays 1 decimal only. Also, the accuracy of the voltage readings is often not that great that would make it worth it. A second decimal number would display t...

Re: FS TH9X with a Smartieparts 9Xtreme board fitted.

OpenTX doesn't support the 9xtreme board as far as I know. I personally can't see any advantages in changing anyway. Yes, you would have to program your models from scratch as openTX and ErSky9x are no longer compatible.. João EDIT: Ah, and if you really want to learn how to work with the firmware ;...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

I can't remember well, but I think I was flying alone.. There was more people flying when I installed c8 back and I had no problems with it. The day before yesterday when I did the logging, I was alone at the field. Even If I didn't have the cell 8 displaying some random value, I had it reporting a ...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

Mike, here is some raw logging from yesterday. I'm really upset that when I do the log I can't make it fail.. one day before it failed every single flight. Yesterday, when I have logged it, i had a false low cell alarm on the second flight, but that was it. I have checked the cells after landing, an...

the hardware menu is now protected.. turn the radio ON while holding the left horizontal trim to the left for about one second. this enables the hardware menu.. Now you can enter it..

Re: OpenTX on Arduino

That Mega2560 project is quite a few years old. Things changed a lot since then. I have a 9x radio with er9x that had the processor replaced by an Atmega 2561. The Ar9x board and ArUni are basically the same but the Ar9x was designed to replace the stock 9x board. The ArUni was designed for those wh...

I think he wants to make his own transmitter using an arduino, that is why he mentions openTX :)
There was a project on this forums based on an arduino Due I think. And I also think it did run Ersky9x, not openTX? Can't remember.. :(

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

Mike, here is the log from today.. The first two flights were made with d4. The next 3 flights were made after flashing version c8.. On the first two flights, every time cell 8 gets a new (crazy) value, Ctot goes also crazy, and calculates the voltage using these values. After a couple seconds Ctot ...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

ok, Will try to do them..
What i can say, is that flying with d4 I get false low cell warnings (probably cell 8), and get values on cell 8. with c8 I don't.. I did log the flights today, but not raw :( will post them in a while so you can see what I mean..

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

Ok, did a couple more flights with c8 and no more false low cell voltage warnings, nor had I some ghost voltage on cell 8.
So, that proves that there is something wrong with the d4 version hub telemetry..
Will have to stay with c8 for flying for the moment..

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

Mike, Im at my clubs Summer meeting today. I'm flying with d4. Suddenly I have those low cell warnings again with cell 8 reporting a voltage. I am using a 3s lipo, so no cell 8 connected to the oXs. This happens several times when in flight. Will roll back the firmware to c8 and see if I still have ...

Re: T-Cut Mixer templates not added to mix

I don't agree. The way it is implemented is much more user friendly as it keeps all voice programming together in one place. And also voice switches can be played one after the other, that means that the order they are programmed matters. That would be impossible in such implementation. Also, a voic...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

Mike, you are the one that know what can be done :) The smaller 9x display makes it difficult to implement new features sometimes.. For example the Delay in the logical switches, and a new "Range" function, also in the logical switches.. I am sure a solution could probably be found for most of them,...
