Re: ERSKY9X Coding

But why sad? Both systems should disconnect the RF module power. The only difference as far as I know is the way the radio is powered. With the power switch on the frsky radios, and using the trainer jack on the 9x radio. Ok you need to set a trainer profile to "Slave" and use it on the trainer mode...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

That will never happen because you have different radios with different hardware :)
Even if Mike always tries to make all work the same, with different hardware that might not be possible.

Re: RE: Re: ERSKY9X Coding

I just checked with my OpenTx-QX7 friend and my recollection of events on Sunday was faulty - the OpenTx-QX7, unlike all of his other radios and also mine, DOES need to be manually powered on to use Slave mode - my apologies for the misinformation. It's sad, because the DXe is a much less sophistic...

I am waiting for my receiver's battery to charge so I can also try to reproduce the problem in the latest test version. I have the feeling that this is an old problem that was already fixed.

Re: Tips and Tricks for sail plane setup

It seems you have an extremely old version of Ersky9x installed on your radio. I suggest you update it. In older versions I believe the logical switches were called "Sw1, Sw2, etc.." "No trim" when editing a mix means that the trim is not active in that mix. João Sent from my thor using Tapatalk

For some reason the flash fail at 95%; If I'm right I have to flash the "T" version ? On the SD card I have two disks , which one is to be copied the new FW ? MP Nope, you need to flash the file "ersky9x_rom.bin". Not the " ersky9xT", which is for the 9xtreme radio, not the Ar9x. João Sent from my ...

Mike, I can't remember very well mow, but in my case when I was testing protocol modules, I don't think inverting COM1 worked for me.. might be wrong though.. And at the moment I am not able to test it as I don't have my external multi modules with me.

Re: RE: Re: PPM protection resistor

Does this mod need to be done with AR9X board as well ? Nope, the Ar9x already have a protection resistor on the PPM line. The post I wrote above also applies to it except the USB joystick capability.. I think Mike mentioned sometime ago that he probably would also implement it on the Ar9x, 9XR-PRO...

Re: PPM protection resistor

No, you don't need to do anything. The radio does not use the module for connecting to the computer. It uses the trainer port on the back. Just plug the simulator cable to the radio while it is powered off. The cable will then power the radio on. Or, with the 9xtreme turn the radio ON, then plug a U...

Then it makes no sense to program throttle hold as it is the speed of the rotor that makes it fly, and not changing the angle of the rotor blades :)

Re: ERSky9x, setting up V911

As I said, I don't know the model.
I believe that in more complex heli setups the throttle hold can be used in situations where we want to move the collective but keep the engine at idle, or the motor stopped if the model is electric.

Re: ERSky9x, setting up V911

Yes, but he has an heli. What he wants is a throttle Hold, not a throttle-Cut. In this case, the "X" doesn't apply. Actually, I think that maybe it is better to program the throttle hold in the mixer, and the throttle cut in the safety switches menu, but I don't know the model he is programming, so ...

I'm sure there are some neat ways of solving that problem :) Horus is not a solution in my case. I did save for it before it was on sale because I did like the first prototype, but when the first pictures of the final product started to come out, I was disappointed and decided not to buy it anymore....

Ok, then, after opening your eeprom in eepe and deleting those mixes (you still had one on Ele also), The dual rates are working as they should. On Ail for example, with ELE switch ON, I'm getting -100 to +100 on both Ailerons and with the ELE switch OFF, I'm getting -80 to +80 on both Ailerons.. Ev...

What are the mixes on the Ail and Ele channels controlled by ID1 supposed to be?
With these mixes you are changing the center point of the channels. I believe that if you fly something like that, you will be in for a very bad surprise..

Re: $153.00 for Taranis-Plus, Good Price !

Bob, the problem is not connecting the 7 way encoder to the Taranis. The problem is to physically install it.. I don't think it would be any easier to install the QX7's encoder on the older Taranis.. At best you can try to install one of those encoders (with a button) that looks like a pot, making a...

Nope, this encoder will never fit the front of the taranis.. Not with that big LCD in there :)
It's not only an encoder, it also has 4 directional keys and a center button..

Yes, but no way to install the excellent rotary encoder plus the directional keys that we use on the 9x radio. :) We have been spoiled by that (at least I was) :) No way I would be moving backwards by getting a Taranis.. ;) I consider any of my radios far better..
