Height Calls Stopped
I was using my Horus (on FrOS) and had been cruising around at 300 to 400 feet with the screen on Telemetry while checking height with the Variometer both on screen and by speech call out every five seconds to save looking. After a couple of minutes the speech stopped, yet the screen date was still ...

Re: Mlvss Lipo Voltage sensor MINI problems
Hi, have just received a few of the Minis (MLVSS). Was a little surprised when the same widget screen display process in battcheck as for FLVSS did not work, just reports FLVSS not found (true of course, but I expected the telemetry input to Horus to be the same and that the only difference was the ...

Re: FrSky Tx (X12D)
The first charge on my new Production Horus took forever, in fact I became convinced it was not going to end at all! I cannot give charge time as I had to do other things inc overnight so turned the charger off and unplugged it at least three times before it achieved stop charge. It was however FAR ...

Re: Taranis as a Simulator Controller
Well, I have cured it! I suddenly had a thought (happens rarely), The Win7 PC is USB 2, the Taranis is presumably from design date USB2, the Win10 PC is USB3. Something was nagging that recent MS updates touched on USB..................... SO, I connected the Taranis via a USB2 Hub, and it instantly...

Taranis as a Simulator Controller
I have pulled this into a specific thread as there was confusion over its use as a drive in the thread it was. This issue is using a Taranis as a USB Game Controller (specifically for controlling LiftOff and FPVFreerider). Current State:- Windows 10 computer gives "connecting" and "di...

Re: Taranis Drive not Available on Windows 10?
Have been using Taranis (and Horus) with various Sims on a PC which came with Windows 10. However, both now do not work, and I suspect a recent Windows Update. The Taranis shows the USB symbol, the PC beeps accordingly, but nothing appears as a device and Sims are not controlled. The Horus appears i...

Re: RSSI and SWR
Purely for info, across two planes, one quad and one helicopter, my Horus is dropping at very short (really unacceptably short) distance between Transmitter and Model down to the high 40's on RSSI. Its staying above the default alarm levels, but not by much. This with X6R, X4R, XSR. In the case of t...

Re: Horus/OpenTX
Thanks for reply.
I was doing it in Mix along with reversal as if you reverse the Inputs (which it allows) the trim does not reverse with it (as with Taranis).
So, INPUT for Rates/Expo, MIX for reversal?

Horus/OpenTX
On OpenTX, when using high amounts of trim (as you might on a first flight), when the rates are then changed (triple rates set to a switch), this change alters the trim setting.

Late on Parade! - Horus Tracks?
Having stuck faithfully with FrSkyOS to the end of the Beta, I'm now only just starting with OpenTX. (Which is not completely new as I have a Taranis) Copied the latest Companion and set it up to load firmware for a beta machine, and it is up and working with so far one model. First surprise is that...

Re: Taranis- Unable to download model set into Tx
I'm running Companion on a fairly new desktop replacement laptop. It has 6 USB ports. Eventually, having eliminated everything else I could, and despite Windows 7 reporting that the device was connected and STM Bootloader working, I tried each USB port in turn after a cold boot of the PC. The third ...

Re: Taranis- Unable to download model set into Tx
You're mixing things... after installing and running companion 2.0.5 , it prompted you that firmware 2.0.5 was available. Firmware is downloaded separately depending on the options you choose. File->Download will let you do so at any time. Copy that, thanks..........but still getting "No DFU c...

Re: Taranis- Unable to download model set into Tx
Loaded Companion this morning to a message that 2.0.5 is now available. Chose yes, to update, and it loaded Installer. Ran Installer, and at end of install chose final choice to run Companion. It ran, but promptly pops up a new box and says there is a new update to 2.0.5, even though I have just don...

Re: Taranis- Unable to download model set into Tx
Thanks, but how would that occur, I downloaded Zadig and ran it when I first got Companion, even before I had the Taranis? OK, so have repeated the process, downloaded latest Zadig for Vista and Beyond (I'm on Win7). Didn't find STM Bootloader automatically, so found via Options and drivers replaced...

Taranis- Unable to download model set into Tx
OpenTx, firmware updated to 2.0.4. Tx not specifically flashed for firmware since purchase. Have a 4 model set in Companion to download to Tx. It connects, says its completed OK, but the Tx gives an EEPROM error and heads for calibration and a blank Tx. Figured it was the Tx firmware not matching st...

OK, I would have liked to place (edit) this info in the first post to prevent it getting buried, but not being allowed to edit it, that's out. I finally have a working Module and my Taranis is talking to FASST receivers. This is how (and why I had issues!). Mine appeared "dead on arrival",...

Re: Taranis with a Ripmax TM12-MX FASST Module
Hi Mike, Thanks. Unfortunately its not specific when it comes to the detail of the PPM signal, but it does explain what lights you should get and when, and I get NOTHING. Seems to me either this unit is faulty, or just possibly, designed to work with JR Transmitters, it simply is not expecting an in...

Taranis with a Ripmax TM12-MX FASST Module
I'm trying to get my new Taranis working with a new Ripmax RM12-MX FASST Module. There was NO info provided with the module, and NO info I can find on the Ripmax website The Taranis works off the internal module into a X6R Rx perfectly. I have set up a new model. I have turned off the internal modul...
