Thanks for the quick reply.
So the resolution of each channel is the same, but the protocol itself is just sending fewer frames per second?

QX7S wireless (bluetooth) trainer mode has notchy output

I just discovered this this morning, but someone posted a nice YouTube video of the behavior here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN-HY5viLrw For me, when using a pair of QX7S TXs in master/slave BT trainer mode, the servos on the model move in a jerky or notchy fashion. I don't see this when the m...

Re: Keeping two radios in sync w/ OpenTX 2.2.1 and Companion

Why not use the model backup and restore function from the model selection screen? It is much simpler: Create model backup, change sdcards, restore backup. Always in sync, even in the field! But this means backing up and restoring each model 1-by-1? My workflow is to mostly edit in Companion, but s...

Re: Keeping two radios in sync w/ OpenTX 2.2.1 and Companion

You should read master radio and disconnect, save, read slave radio, copy general settings from slave radio's window, paste them into master radio window, write to slave radio. Then either save that as a new file for slave you could later get general settings from again without reading from radio, ...

Keeping two radios in sync w/ OpenTX 2.2.1 and Companion

A friend has two QX7 radios, and wants to be able to keep them in sync. Specifically, he wants the models on each radio to be the same. The idea is he has a backup radio in case something happens to one, or while he's flying model 1, he can give someone else his backup radio to go fly model 2, knowi...

Here's what Aloft had to say: Unfortunately, FrSky didn't provide any wiring diagram, just the description of the function of each wire. If there's official information on how it's supposed to be connected to the Horus's main board, we haven't seen it. That said, we're looking into it and will post ...

Mine never shows over 55% charge or three bars no matter how long it's charged. I am on opentx The bars are an indictation that can be adjusted, and as mentioned they could be adjusted wrong. Look at the voltage. Yup, I bet this is your problem. On mine, the top of voltage range in OpenTX didn't ma...

Thanks for reply. I was doing it in Mix along with reversal as if you reverse the Inputs (which it allows) the trim does not reverse with it (as with Taranis). So, INPUT for Rates/Expo, MIX for reversal? One of the great things about OpenTX is you can often get the same result from four different m...

+1 on the RF explorer. If you're doing Hobby / nerd-for-fun level of spektrum analysis it works great! I've even used it to find a free 5.8Ghz band for FPV (yes, I could have used an RX for this, but I had the unit at the field to show someone so I thought I'd keep using it to solve a problem I actu...

Re: wireless relay

The easiest way to do this in my opinion would be to use the trainer port of the TX and therefore wired PPM to a a TX module. As someone mentioned, most LRS add-ons like DragonLink or EzUHF do exactly this, but the "wired PPM" cable length is typically inches rather than feet. I've seen so...

Yea, they're also available at HorusRC and AlotfHobbies. There's even a "three axis stick end" that gives you a pot and momentary button on the end of a gimble stick. No idea how they're wired up internally. I fired off an email to the folks at Aloft. I'll report back with their answer.

Here is my typical workflow: - Get Taranis to Bootloader screen - Connect to Mac via USB, notice that TARANIS and TARANISSD volumes are mounted - Start CompanionTX 2.1.6 - Read models do some work, push models back to Taranis - Close CompanionTX - Eject TARANIS and TARANISSD volumes in finder. - Dis...

Consumption, and select unit mAh. Sorry to be dense. When you say: "and select unit mAh", do you mean select "mAh" or "mA" (which one?) for the discovered "Curr" sensor? I'm asking because I can't see any way to select a unit to select for my calculated consu...

[HELP] Setting up mAh used with FCS-150A and OpenTX 2.1.3

Hopefully this is the right forum, if not please let me know or maybe a moderator can move it. I have an FCS-150A current sensor plugged into an X6R bound to a Taranis running 2.1.3. I am very familiar with doing some fairly complex stuff in OpenTX, but I am completely new to the telemetry section. ...

Using Inputs vs Mixes

I'm curious about whether I should be using the Inputs screen or the Mixes screen for most the rates, expo, curves work I'm doing. Originally, I didn't use the Inputs screen for anything, leaving the defaults alone. On the Mixes screen, in addition to mapping inputs to channels, I put all of the mod...

Possible bug in OpenTX Companion fade in/out simulator

Not sure if this has been reported or is even a real bug, so I thought I would start here: If I specify a fade in of 3.0 for flight mode 0, when I simulate this with OpenTX Companion, it goes much slower than 3 seconds. It takes about 6 seconds. If write this exact setup to the my TX and use it with...

I finally came back to this project after being away from it for a while and discovered that I don't really know how to search for switches on the Internet. This probably won't help you directly, but it might help rule some things out. I'm running OpenTX 2.0 on a Taranis and have been using RealFlight Interface Edition successfully. So it is possible for RF7's dongle to recognize all 6 channels from an OpenTX device.
