Thank you very much Mike for the prompt response, you saved my day!
It was quite scary when I noticed the module stopped working, one DM9 (the one I was using) did not even lite up and the other one (spare) was lighting up but the plane would not bind at all.
Have a nice weekend!

Firmware 2.0.17 and DSM2 module issue
I apologize if this is not the right place to ask but is anybody having problems with Spektrum DM9 external DSM2 module after upgrading to 2.0.17? I got two modules and both suddenly stopped working and the only thing that changed was the firmware upgrade! A 3rd module I have that does not use PPM (...

Re: Spektrum DM9 Module in Taranis
I know this is not so new discussion but I was wondering if anybody else has experimented same issue I had today. I have a Taranis Plus and a DM9 module bound to several Spektrum RX (AR635 AR636 AR6200, etc.) and flying with no problems, however while binding a AR6100 this morning, I had to lower th...

Re: Taranis home-brew DSMX (Spektrum DX4E) and RANGE CHECK?
You are right Kilrah but I also tested it many times near my house without range check pressed, walking as far as necessary before breaking or loosing signal and the HK ones went far away, I am guessing 20 to 30 %. I was really disapointed with the test results because I was especting the spektrum c...

Re: Taranis home-brew DSMX (Spektrum DX4E) and RANGE CHECK?
I was running 2.0.3 (2.0.5 now) and the range check mode worked for me using a dx5 hack module and DSM2. I got between 30 and 40 steps. At the limit the communication gets spotty and longer than that there is no response from the plane. Just for the record I compared the DX5 hack with 2 HK orange tx...

Re: OpenTX - Nightly builds for pre-2.0 testing
Thank you Kilrah, it makes sense
I was totally absorbed with the haptic idea that I was thinking it as default and not the opposite, I forgot not everyone would be going for it.
You guys are doing an outstanding work, thank you again!

Re: Taranis and DSM2 mods
So Kal just makeing sure I understood it correctly, your adapter is RS232 level like the ones i linked first and I would need the diode following the USB2TTL.png picture you first posted. Would an adapter like this one that doesnt look to be RS232 work better maybe? http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-PL230...

Re: Taranis and DSM2 mods
@Joao: I used the software that is provided by HK, no chip to select. @Hawk600: If it's RS232 level then it won't work so easy. You then need to invert the signals and convert them to 5V level. Those adapters you pointed to are exactly the same as mine. (click on the files tab) or download the atta...

Re: Taranis and DSM2 mods
Thank you Daedalus66, I already have the orange tx antenna problem solved using a DM9 case cover and a servo case as pictured. As far as firmware update I am in US and HK only has the programmer in China and takes like 40 days to get here, I might give it a try but they are out of stock as of now so...

Just a feedback that "UnPlug" plugin for Firefox works great. You have to play the acapella demo with the text you want and after that just click on the UnPlug icon and it will open a list of files. The one you looking will be the last one down the bottom of the list. Right click on it, ch...

Thank you guys! I wanna make sure that I can use it with my bigger planes without loosing it at least until I replace all my RX to FrSky. @ Kilrah, yes I saw some comments that leads to think the some of the problems were related with the DSM2 protocol and it looks like gets even worse with DSMX. @d...

Help w/ Taranis and DSM2/DSMX module
Hello I just bought a Taranis and all my planes uses spektrum or orange rx so I intended to buy the HK DSM2/DSMX orange TX for now and gradually replace then to FrSky rx, but after a lot of reading I've seem reports of loss of signal and crashes. I a bit confused because it looks like some of the pr...
