Re: Any alternate to Com 1 on 9Xtreme for telemetry

As long as you have "raw logging" available, there is no need to update the firmware first.

Re: DRL Simulator

If you plug a trainer cable into te jack socket of the 9XR-PRO, it should power on without needing the power switch on. I think it will then be in "slave" mode for use as a student Tx or with a simulator.

This thread if for the 9Xtreme upgrade. Are you referring to a standard 9X with wire mods?

Yes.
The change to 'L' for the switches is only a name change.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

I have the fix for selecting SLAVE in the trainer menu, and I've tested it actually operating as a slave. I messed it up when I added support for the Horus, the ordinary Taranis wasn't working in slave mode either. As far as powering on when you plug the trainer jack in, I can't see any specific har...

Yes, the FLYSKY module should be OK in a modified Tx.

I asked as you said "FLYSKY" when you appear to have a FrSky module.
The modified module should work OK (no telemetry to the radio) in an unmodified transmitter.

Re: 9xr pro with Irangex 4 in 1

You may wish to update the ersky9x firmware to a recent "test" version. Providing the firmware in the module is up to date, then you would get status returned from the module. This allows you to use "AUTO" when binding when the required settings are automatically configured from the response of the ...

Re: Ersky9x Feature Requests

Given the display looks the same whatever format is in use, I've added a label above the values to indicate the format in use.

I could change the default, only by changing the setting in Radio Setup/General when the general settings are created, but this won't help existing users.

Re: Any alternate to Com 1 on 9Xtreme for telemetry

Have you flashed the AVR module with updated firmware? The default firmware doesn't send inverted serial data for telemetry, which is the default required for COM1 as the input to the 9Xtreme includes an inverter. There is an option in the Telemetry menu to "Invert COM1". THis uses a software driver...

Change default GPS display format of longitude and latitude from DDDmm.mmmm to DDD.dddddd This format is more familiar and found in some other radio displays. Re: Any alternate to Com 1 on 9Xtreme for telemetry

I would be surprised if the COM 1 connection has been damaged as it is protected by 1K resistors, and the input is buffered by a transistor. Also, If I understand what you did wrong, the COM 1 pin wasn't connected. It may be that the serial output of the 4-in-1 module is damaged. There is a COM 2 co...

V1.9 of the bootloader should work correctly to flash the test 221 firmware. To update the bootloader: Place the firmware file on the SD Card inside a folder called " firmware" . Ersky9x already supports replacing one of the pots with a rotary encoder on the Taranis, or adding it as an extra item using the extra analog input on the Plus.
It also supports the addition of one or two push buttons using the JTAG connections.

Re: Can u add the SG and SE switch onto the taranis x7?

It needs a software driver to read the hardware, then changes to allow the (optional) configuration of what extra switches are fitted, followed by changes to make the extra switches appear and be handled in things like the switch check on model load. All possible, but not a simple/quick change. Mike.

Only the FrSky XJT module supplies a SWR value, so you won't see one from the DSM module. I think FrSky have a newer PCB layout for the XJT that gives a better SWR value. I also see 0 (and have confirmed this is the value being sent by the module). On the STAT2 screen is a value "Voice underruns". I...

Re: Can u add the SG and SE switch onto the taranis x7?

There are two unused inputs brought to connectors available, so, in theory, it should be possible to add either two 2-position switches or a single 3-position switch. However, there would need to be a software change to allow for such a configuration.
