Re: Taranis X9D Plus - Damage to mainboard/backboard?

When that happened to me (early prototype), only the processor was damaged. I replaced that and it then worked again (and is still working fine).

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Ooooooo LUA script .... yes please! As noted on a 9Xtreme thread, I have a start to LUA support working. I can run a "standalone" LUA script in ersky9x. I have this tested on a standard Taranis, a 9Xtreme and a 9XR-PRO. The 9XR-PRO has limited RAM compared to the others, so won't be able to run a l...

Re: Lua Scripts on 9xtreme

I have some progress to report! I've been porting the LUA code to ersky9x for the Taranis (same processor as the 9Xtreme). Today, I got a standalone script running, so I have the basics in place. I only have standalone scripts available, and a very limited number of interface functions implemented. ...

Re: CRSF protocol for TBS Crossfire?

I see (I think). I thought CRSF sent it's own telemetry, which is what I'm decoding currently. If you have a "raw telemetry" log, then posting this for me to inspect would be useful. Please make sure it is "raw", the setting in the menu to select "raw logging" is not saved through a power cycle. Mike.

Re: CRSF protocol for TBS Crossfire?

Please detail exactly what your setup is. Are you using CRSF telemetry to carry Mavlink data, or are you using CRSF for control and the Mavlink telemetry is arriving via a different RF carrier?

Re: ER9X & QX7 - Missing Bind Menu

Have you set the protocol to "XJT" rather than "PPM"?
I'll check, but so I'm looking at the same firmware, what date ad time do you have on the "Version" menu?

Re: Turnigy 9Xtreme, XJT, and Telemetry

I think I need to ask you to change the scaler settings, one value at a time, and see what causes the problem(s).
So first, just set the source to "Mah" and test.
Then set the name to "mAh" and test, and so on.

Also, possibly try using a different scaler (8 instead of 1).

Re: Turnigy 9Xtreme, XJT, and Telemetry

I cannot see why setting a scaler should have such an effect. If you look at the logging menu, currently received telemetry items are indicated by a tick at the right of the display. With Alt displaying 0.0 (I assume it normally displays a proper value), is there a tick beside it in the logging menu...

Re: CRSF protocol for TBS Crossfire?

I'll look into why the RSSI doesn't drop to 0, it does when using a FrSky XJT/X8R pair! I'll need to try some changes as I don't know, exactly, the meaning of some of the values in the telemetry packet. I copied some code from openTx where they use the "RX_QUALITY" as the RSSI value. There are two v...

OK, I can't see why the SD card isn't responding. Please do the following: Try the firmware you used previously to get the list of files on the SD card and see if that still works. If it does, can you point me to this firmware (source code) so I can see what, if anything, it is doing differently. Mi...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio

That fix would be if you are using more than one device connected to the SPI bus. The description indicates the MOSI signal would be permanently active, thus preventing other devices from operating.

Don't forget to try the "test11" I posted above.

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio

This one waits longer to see if the card responds to the initialise operation. Please also check the continuity of the wires between the Arduino and the SD card board. Sometimes, the crimp contacts are only held by the insulation, and make an intermittant contact. It is best to check between the hea...

Re: CRSF protocol for TBS Crossfire?

I'll add the TSSI value, I think I can see what is needed, and I'll also add current to the voltage. With the basics working, other things should follow, although the GPS values may need translating into the the values currently used for display. On the telemetry menu, there are entries for RSSI low...

Re: Turnigy 9x Battery Cover.

See if you can find an old JR radio and get the battery cover from that!
The battery cover from a Taranis is the correct size and shape, but doesn't clip into place. Maybe the addition of some plastic glued on the tabs would let it clip in.

I've just posted a test version of ersky9x for the 'PRO that might display RSSI and Battery voltage (as FasV). The scaling of the battery voltage may be wrong, but I need to know what it does display to be able to correct this.

Where I'm confused is an earlier test appeared to show the SD card initialising OK, while now it isn't initialising, what changed?

Perhaps you could post a couple of pictures showing your wiring to the SD card holder from the Arduino.

If you have the CRSF working for control OK, please go to the "DEBUG" menu (UP LONG, then LEFT a few times), and look at the bottom line with "TelRxCount" on it. Is the first number counting up? What value is the second number? If the first number is counting then the telemetry data is being receive...

Re: Aux 5 etc enable for gimbal control on POT

Could you define "AUX5" please?
The Tx normally outputs 8 channels 1 to 8, which the D8R then outputs.
Are you trying to get more than 8 channels from the PPM output of the D8R?
What Tx module are you using?

I'm not aware of this being a general problem. What I would really need is to know what, exactly, you were changing on the model when the contrast got upset, and if this is repeatable.

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio

The SD card is not responding to the "select" operation. I can only suggest checking the connections from the Arduino, via the level converter to the SD card.
The Arduino connection "10" is the CS signal, 11 is MOSI, 12 is MISO and 13 is SCK.
