Re: Ersky9x Feature Requests

Since I can't really change the default GPS display format, I'm changing the display format (in degrees and minutes mode) from:
DDDmm.mmmm
to:
DDD mm.mmmm
to help distinguish the display mode.

Re: Turnigy 9X/OpenTX switches displaying incorrect on screen

If er9x shows the switches working correctly, then it seems the hardware is OK, so it sounds like a problem in openTx. These days I don't think that openTx for the 9X is being updated.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Indeed, unlike the original 9X and the 9XR-PRO, None of the FrSky transmitters include hardware to detect the trainer is plugged in and enable power, they just have a status signal to indicate the trainer is plugged in.

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

Please check the following: 1. On the SD CARD STAT screen (UP LONG, then LEFT a few times), what is the number on the second line at the right side (32 I hope). 2. Check in Telemetry|Blocking that FasV is NOT ticked. 3. Look in Telemetry|Logging. Beside FasV, as well as the box that may contain a ti...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

That's left over from when trainer profiles and sources were being developed. The displayed value changes when the currently selected trainer source changes. You may ignore it. The polarity setting under it does still affect the polarity of a SBUS signal input to the trainer input. I still need to s...

Re: Problem with last new Hobbyking Turnigy 9X transmiters.

With the switch connections changed, you need to have the correct firmware running. If on a Mega64, you need to flash er9x-frsky.hex. If you have a Mega128 processor, then you need to go to the hardware menu (power on with the left horizontal trim held to the left to enable it), and select "Frsky Mo...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

I've repeated the test on a 'PRO, DJT and D8R-II, and all is still OK. Every time I switch the Rx off, the timer goes to 0 and I get the "Telemetry Lost" message spoken.
I'll need to inspect the code to try to find where things may get "stuck" after a voice underrun.

I just did a test with a QX7, latest test version firmware, internal XJT and a X8R with your settings and that worked OK. I'll repeat the test with a 'PRO, DJT and D8R-II next (I don't have a D4R). When you lose voice, please check in the Statistics STAT2 menu and see if you have a non-zero value fo...

As long as you have "raw logging" available, there is no need to update the firmware first.

Re: DRL Simulator

If you plug a trainer cable into te jack socket of the 9XR-PRO, it should power on without needing the power switch on. I think it will then be in "slave" mode for use as a student Tx or with a simulator.

I have the fix for selecting SLAVE in the trainer menu, and I've tested it actually operating as a slave. I messed it up when I added support for the Horus, the ordinary Taranis wasn't working in slave mode either. As far as powering on when you plug the trainer jack in, I can't see any specific har...

I asked as you said "FLYSKY" when you appear to have a FrSky module.
The modified module should work OK (no telemetry to the radio) in an unmodified transmitter.

Setting the A1 ratio gets you the receiver voltage.

I don't know that flight controller, or inav software. Can this provide FrSky SPort telemetry data?

You may wish to update the ersky9x firmware to a recent "test" version. Providing the firmware in the module is up to date, then you would get status returned from the module. This allows you to use "AUTO" when binding when the required settings are automatically configured from the response of the ...

Re: Ersky9x Feature Requests

Given the display looks the same whatever format is in use, I've added a label above the values to indicate the format in use.

I could change the default, only by changing the setting in Radio Setup/General when the general settings are created, but this won't help existing users.

Re: Any alternate to Com 1 on 9Xtreme for telemetry

Have you flashed the AVR module with updated firmware? There is an option in the Telemetry menu to "Invert COM1". THis uses a software driver...

Re: Any alternate to Com 1 on 9Xtreme for telemetry

I would be surprised if the COM 1 connection has been damaged as it is protected by 1K resistors, and the input is buffered by a transistor. Also, If I understand what you did wrong, the COM 1 pin wasn't connected. It may be that the serial output of the 4-in-1 module is damaged. There is a COM 2 co...
