Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

I don't recognise that "GRN" connection, nor do I recognise the order of the connections shown on the Pro Mini connecting to the UNO. My Pro Minis have the same connections as the one in your picture. Connect the RESET from the UNO to DTR. For info, the bootloader in the Pro Mini runs for a short ti...

Re: Adding MAVLINK support

The data blinking indicates telemetry data hasn't arrived for a while.
What revision of ersky9x are you running?
On recent test versions I've added individual timeouts on telemetry data, together with an option to extend the timeout.

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

I did use the "RAW" input for the 3.3V from the module. This feeds the 'Mini's 5V regulator (allowing 9-10V as the supply), so you get a small voltage drop through that. Using VCC should work OK, you just avoid that voltage drop. I used the "RAW" input so if I made a mistake and connected a higher v...

Re: 9xtreme telemetry XSR + Omnibus F4 PRO v3 Bad Data?

The 9Xtreme does have a full SPort in hardware, so it is just a case of connecting to the module bay pins (carefully, power and ground need to swap over). Maintenance mode supports SPort firmware updating. I does seem odd it shuts down after 5 seconds, is that the XSR or the FC? Everything seems to ...

Also useful to put files into a .zip file for posting! (Right click on the file and select "send to" in windows). I've had a look at that log file and about a third of the way through, SPort sensor data stops appearing, just the "normal" RxV and RSSI are present. So it does seem the Rx stops seeing ...

"Exp" indicates you have the trim adjustment set to Exp(onential). This means as you hold a trim switch active, the trim movement moves faster the longer you hold the trim switch, You may wish to change this setting to Fne (Fine). "Ttm" (Throttle Trim) indicates you have throttle trim enabled. This ...

In that case, please repeat the "raw logging" test, while watching the logging display and don't stop the logging until at least 10 seconds after the tick marks disappear.

Re: binding problem

Just a confirmation check, if you are not seeing the "PPM Drive" option, make sure you are setting the protocol for the EXTERNAL module.

Also, you say you updated to r221. This must be one of the "test" versions. Please confirm you flashed ersky9xr_rom.bin (note the 'r' after the 9x).

No, stay with ersky9x9XT_rom.bin, I forgot you have the 9Xtreme.

It does seem to be something to do with the F4 then.

Re: Another two modules thread. 2.0

The STM version of the Multi module outputs a logic level (3.3V) signal for the telemetry. This is perfectly OK to be connected directly to the COM2 input on the 9Xtreme. Note that this input on the 9Xtreme is non-inverting, so the module needs to be configured with firmware that outputs non-inverte...

I only have an early QX7, so I can't test the smart port in the base. As a result, I haven't implemented using it in ersky9x, it only uses the module bay pins.

Re: 9xtreme telemetry XSR + Omnibus F4 PRO v3 Bad Data?

The raw data log shows FasV data being received with a value of either 12.0v or 12.1v. Please try the following: 1. Use eepskye and back up both the flash and EEPROM of your radio. If necessary, you can revert to these. 2. Go to http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4676 , and download "...

Re: S.Port output on a Q X7 radio?

My understanding of openTx 2.2 is: If the pins are in the smart port on the bottom, then use that, and the module bay pins do NOT work. If the pins are missing from the smart port on the bottom, then you must use the module bay pins. The firmware can detect the build standard of the board (reads one...

Re: 9xtreme telemetry XSR + Omnibus F4 PRO v3 Bad Data?

I've had a quick look and the raw telemetry data looks OK, it should get decoded correctly.
The telemetry item "BATT" is the transmitter battery, is this the value that shows 12.4v?

What revision of ersky9x do you have on the radio?

You could also try:
CH05: +46% 6POS Offset(-54%)
+108% HALF Switch(THR)

This gives you 12 reasonable spaced positions for channel 5.

You need to look at the versions of companion and openTx you are using. I think this is indication you copy of companion is more recent than your copy of openTx. I don't use them (I use er9x/eepe), so I'm not certain.

Re: Push buttons / Encoder

There are 8, EXT connections available, you should only have needed 4 of these for the switches. You may only have one 6-pos switch. The encoder is a "quadrature encoder" (plus push switch). It is used for menu navigation, replacing/supplementing the normal LEFT/RIGHT/UP/DOWN buttons. I suspect, fro...

I've done some testing using a "Blue" orange module. I connected it up to my AVRISP-II and erased the flash memory, and I checked it was fully erased. Next, I took a brand new 3.3V Pro Mini (8MHz), flashed that with the PdiMini program, then connected it to the Blue module: Signal "2" from the Pro M...

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

As far as I can see the UNO should work (I haven't got one to test). The important thing is to ensure it is powered from the 3.3V from the Qrange module, not the 5V from the on board regulator, so only connected to the module. It looks to me that you connect the 3.3V from the module to either the VI...

Re: 9XR stopped talking to my AVRISPmkII after uploading firmware

The AVRISP-II has, I think, limited drive capability. This means it may struggle to drive the signal lines. Two things to try: 1. Assuming you haven't done the telemetry mod, try with the THR and AIL switches in different positions (when "on", they load the programming lines). 2. Try slowing the bit...

Re: FrSky R9 900MHz 16CH Long Range Receiver & R9M Module System

The manual says it responds to either CPPM or PXX, so as long as the firmware you are runniong on the 'PRO supports PXX, it should just plug in and work. The firmware originally shipped on the 'PRO (ersky9x r204) didn't support PXX as HK had not agreed with FrSky it could. I understand the 'PRO now ...

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

I believe the Multiprotocol firmwre will work on those early modules. The biggest problem is getting the flash of the bootloader done due to needing a PDI programmer, but both the 'PRO and the 9Xtreme should be able to do that if you follow the instructions in the PDF file(s) from the first post. As...
